Ed J.Life is in the blood of living creatures and yet the Holy Spirit has no blood. Does that mean it is not a living creature?Your fellow student,Kerwin

Ed J.You should read and understand those scriptures as none of them state that the Holy Spirit either coupulated with Mary or injected sperm into her in any other way. What they do state is that Jesus was created in Mary's womb. The Spirit of God is God's power in action in this case as it was when the world was created.Your fellow student,Kerwin

Ed. JJesus was without a father though adopted by Joseph. In the gospels when Jesus is called the son of David by the Jews it is most likely because of Joseph accepting him as his legitmate offspring even though he knew that was not genetically the case. You are not speaking decent which is traced through the father's line except in determining…[Read more]

Shimmer,Those are good things to strive for but the only way one can truly achieve the goal of being righteous as God is righteous is obeying all the true teachings of Jesus the Anointed. As that is true then it is wise to test what you yourself believe and watch to make sure your actions are consistent with the good news of the kingdom of…[Read more]

Ed J. I did not set scripture against scripture but I did point out what you believe sets scripture against scripture and thus must be false.Paul was a Jew and well knew that the Jewish heritage is traced through the father unless there is no applicaple father. You are choosing to believe Jesus had an applicable father and that father is the…[Read more]

Ed J.You clearly do not understand Luke 20:41 as what you claim you understand clearly contradicts Romans 1:3 and scripture cannot be broken.I have a question to ask.Kish called Saul Lord because God made Saul king and yet Kish is Saul's father.Jesse called David King because God made David king and yet Jesse is David's father. Why are these two…[Read more]

Nick Hassan,I do not share the speculation with Ed J. that implies Jesus is a God or half-God as there is only one God a fact scripture is insistent on. You may choose to disagree with scripture on that point but I choose not to.Scripture is also insistent that Jesus began existence in Mary’s reproductive system which is why it clearly states th…[Read more]

Ed J.,If the Holy Spirit was Jesus physical father then the linage of Mary is irrelevant as the linage would then be traced through the father, I.e. the Holy Spirit. The exception is if you do not consider the Holy Spirit a Jew. Technically correct but I don’t see the Jews considering it a non-Jew.You also do not seem to comprehend the conc…[Read more]

Adam.I believe Jews are living under the old covenant that depended on human effort to obey the law of God. Human effort is limited by the fact that humans are chained to sin because the spirit they were born with is impure. This corrupt spirit means that in the end all humans chose to sin despite the good acts they choose to do in other ways.…[Read more]

Barley,The Samaritans themselves claim decent from the northern tribes of Israel but scripture declares they are descendants of Gentiles that the Assyrian King had settle Israel, 2 Kings 17:24-41.They are also circumcised so if you mean so technically they are not called gentiles. They still exist though their numbers have declined. The Jews treated…[Read more]

Ed. J.The Holy Spirit was not Jesus Father as that would render Romans 1:3 incorrect as the Hebrew linage is kept from the father side except in certain cases.I believe that the exceptions are when the child has no Hebrew father. In this case the desent is traced through the mother. One example of this is Timothy in Acts 16:1 who was c…[Read more]

Ed J.You are using Mark 12:35-37 or a parallel scripture and making an assumption that Jesus was claiming that the Anointed One was not David's Son. That intepretation is obviously wrong since it would clearly contradict Romans 1:3 and other scriptures and scripture cannot be broken.Have you considered the possibility that Jesus was speaking of…[Read more]

ED. J,If Jesus was conceived with a sperm and an egg then according to the practice of the Hebrew tribes Jesus would not have been a Son of David unless that sperm came from a human decendent of David. So do you believe that the Spirit of God artificially inseminated Mary?Jesus was David Son except that his spirit was the God's spirit of…[Read more]

David,Sorry about the broken link. I repaired it. I tried to find your source but was unable to though I have found that others seem to also claim that Jewish Schoolars have never defined the Holy Spirit as anything other than the power of God. David,I agree that there is much confusion but I my am unsure whether the Spirit is a independant being that serves as God's agent on earth or if the Spirit is actually a part of God himself.
