George,The Spiritual body is mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:44. In 1 Corinthians 15:39 Paul instructs us that all flesh is not the same when teaching us that a different body will be given us after the resurrection. Blood is not mentioned. As to you question about Enoch and Elijah, God does not tell me the why’s and how’s of most things he does…[Read more]

Quote (Baker @ Nov. 21 2010,09:53)PierreYes, it was Paul who spoke of the resurrection, but this being changed instantly without dying, is grossly misunderstood. GeorgGeorge,To make a statement without showing how you reached that conclusion aids your hearers none. Please explain what you have learned that you conclude what you do.

Adam,What I read is just another false doctrine that appears influenced by the Roman Catholic religion though it has some things right. I saw nothing about gospels beyond accusing the various Catholic churches of destroying some church doctrines. If you can aid me to find the manuscripts of those two books I asked for and their date I would…[Read more]

I hope to address your points there but my time is limited.I asked Mike Boll for scriptural support for the two nature position in my last post to him. Hopefully he will be able to answer soon.

Pierre,George and I are basing our conclusion that the soul and spirit are separate based on such scriptures as the following where they are treated as seperate.1 Thessalonians 5:23(NIV) reads:Quote May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord…[Read more]

Georg,Have you considered Jesus' words in the following passage?Pierre wrote:Quote Mt 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.According to this teaching it seems the body and soul are two separate parts of a person.

Mike Boll,You seem to forget that God unlike human beings are all knowing so while a woman does not know which great-great-great-great granddaughter yet non-conceived she has willed her ring to or even if she will have one God does. Pierre,The scripture which states why humans are tempted is James 1:14. If an individual has a human nature then they have evil thoughts no matter their stage of development. The only exception being is if they have no thoughts. Accountability is another thing.

Adam,Arianism was a widespread sect. Are there Arian versions of the gospels of Matthew and Luke? Was this a minor variation of the Arian creed?

Mike Boll,The original purpose of a baby shower was to give a child gifts before the child is born. They are the child’s gifts even though it is possible the child will not live to personally receive them. Pierre,There is a Hebrew interpretation that is God’s interpretation and that interpretation was called Christian first at Antioch. Another case in which something of God’s is also attributed to others is Paul’s letters as Paul is the instrument God used to write those letters. Be careful not to be a fault finder. You missed the fact that Paul…[Read more]

Mike Boll,I understand that you believe Paul was speaking figuratively in Athens but I disagree as their is other scripture that demonstrates he is all present. It is true that his presence seems to be centered on the highest of heavens which is called his throne.I plan on addressing this in more detail later.
