Pierre,What I wrote is not the New International Version version of John 1:1-18 but rather one way I currently understand those verses based on the NIV. I am hoping that someone will either provide other scriptures that show my understanding is correct or that it is wrong. I can also show how I reached this understanding.

Kathy and Mike Boll,You miss the secound part of Matthew 11:11 since those that are in the kingdom of heaven are also born of woman. I believe he was speaking of the first birth v the second birth as John did not experience the second birth which is part of the new covenant that was not yet sealed by Jesus' blood.Jesus did know that John was not…[Read more]

To all,According to Shimmer’s source scripture state the following:Quote Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. – Isa 26:19This sounds like the account of the resurrection of the righteous dead that o…[Read more]

Barley,You have brought up some points that I would like to hear Mike Boll answer as he advanced the idea that Jesus was monetarily poor since his parents gave the sacrifice of the poor when they went to the Temple for him to be circumcised. The Wise men, Jewish Astrologers?, came after that since Joseph and his family left for Egypt immediately…[Read more]

Pierre,You have mentioned Numbers 11:25, 1 Chronicles 25:3 and Ezra 5:1 what other characteristics did you observe than it enabled those it descended on to speak the word of God or so foretell the future. Will you please share with me so I might learn more about the Spirit of God?

Mike Boll,A soul is spiritual in form but it is not a spirit one lives by.An angel has a soul as well as a spirit even though it is called a spirit.According to scripture the spirit of God is what makes a believer a son of God.Angels are part of the unity that is tied together by the spirit of God.I am going to conclude that God is in Jesus…[Read more]

Shimmer and David,We must also remember that our natural body being perishable is damaged by the passage of time. Jesus being in a imperishable body would be in the optimal physical shape after his resurrection. That could render him hard to recognize to those used to seeing and hearing him in his natural body. It could be that God for his own…[Read more]

David,Distance and possible environmental conditions may well account for having trouble discerning who someone is at the distance from shore to a boat on the water. To all,Scripture states “there is no God”. It also qualifies it by stating “The fool states in his heart”. Check to make understand the word of God.

Gene,I introduced three elements in my last post. The first is that the act of sin corrupts the spirit of the man whom commits it. The second is that we inherit the spirit of sin from both male and female ancestors. The third is that complete faith is rewarded by receiving the Spirit of God which cannot be corrupted. Both Adam and Eve were he…[Read more]
