Pierre.I would like to check the Greek since the translators were heretics and therefore may have misunderstood it.In addition it may not be literal.

Pierre,One possible translation of the Common Greek word translated to “make” is married. I am not sure what similarities the people speaking Common Greek saw between the two. I agree that is depends on the desires of your soul if God is with you in Spirit. I use soul because it is the basic essence of a person and because the Spirit changes…[Read more]

Worshipping Jesus,I believe that the Holy Spirit is a facet of God that has characteristics of a person but is not a person. That fits with the Spirit being with God and being God as well as with other scriptures. In addition early in the story of creation we are told that the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. I cannot tell you for su…[Read more]

Mike Boll,The Messiah is the one predestined and anointed by God to be King of his entire kingdom. He is also called God is with us because God through the Holy Spirit lives within him and by adoption through the Anointed lives within us. Jesus is the Son of God because he is the one God chose to have the fullness of his Spirit reside in and it…[Read more]

Pierre,I am sorry I confused you by using the format of the NIV to write down my current understanding of John 1. I thought that you and others would understand as I clearly wrote it was my interpretation based on the NIV scriptures. I understand you do not like an interpretation presented in that format but I felt it would be the best way to…[Read more]

Pierre, They could be allegories to some extent but some extent is literal as well since Jesus told the believing thief that was on one of the crosses adjacent to him that they would meet in Paradise that day. I know that Jesus would die and lay in the grave that day. He certainly did not see the thief in heaven as he has not yet ascended.

David,I agree that there are questions that are brought up by the observation of Jesus and the miraculous catch of fish after his resurrection but I do not know the answers. Perhaps in time God will choose to reveal them.

Irene,I do not know who the righteous dead whom were raised when Jesus died were. I believe they underwent the final resurrection because I believe they were important enough to be mentioned in the rest of the New Testament if they were still among those in the perishable body and yet there is no word of them. As for seeing God vs. not seeing…[Read more]

Gene,You made two good points. The first being that Jesus stated the temple of his body would be rebuilt and the second being that creation will delivered from is enslavement to corruption.

George,The word “spirit” has a multiple of definitions and thus it may mean different things at different times. I therefore need to see the word in use in order to aid me in determining the correct definition for that particular usage. When spirit states that we are to worship God in spirit is means we are to live by the spirit thus wor…[Read more]

Mike Boll,You stated I did not answer your question though I did by inference. According to Jesus there are two tests that can be used to tell if someone is a spirit or not. Those tests are that spirit can neither eat nor can they be physically touched. In the case of the two angels that visited Lot they both ate and were touched as one…[Read more]

Pierre,Not from what I have heard as they were all well established Jewish beliefs when Jesus, The Jewish Rabbi of all Jewish Rabbis, was teaching in his perishable body.

Gene,You are correct about the confusion which is caused by translators who chose to translated different words into the word “hell”. Scripture speaks of Gehenah, which is the lake of fire and the final death. It also speaks of Hades which is also called the Grave. According to Jesus' parable of the Rich man and Lazarus hell is divided into tw…[Read more]

Gene and Tim Kraft,What you believe is covering up the true difference between the old and new covenant. The difference is that under the new you have the power of God to do all that is right but under the old you only had human effort. That is a crucial difference.

Pierre,An interpretation is not a rewriting. It is just an understanding of what is written. I am hopping to test that understanding to see if it comes from God or not. This is what we are taught to do as it is testing the Spirit. It is also a way of learning.

Mike Boll,I can see your case to state Job 19:25-26 cannot be used as a proof scripture on this issue. Can you give me the scriptures that state that no man or flesh has ever seen God? Scripture does Mosses did but I believe it was speaking of an angel at that time, Exodus 33:11 and Deuteronomy 34:10. It could have also been metrological.

Irene,As far as Revelation 7: 13-14 is concerned anyone who enters the new covenant and persists in holding to its precepts though faith will be there to praise our God in those times. You read Daniel 2:2 instead of Daniel 12:2. To all,At this point I am just discussing the body one has when undergoing the final resurrection of the dead. This is the resurrection I believe both Jesus and those selected dead in Matthew 27:51-53 are recorded as undergoing. In both examples Scripture attests that a body was present. In the case of Jesus we it is demonstrated to be a flesh…[Read more]
