Miia,
Your are welcome miia, but I must confess I did it more for Ed than you. I hope he learns that it is not necessary to brow beat others into agreement but rather to address disagreement in a way that treats them how he should want be treated. I believe others on this site could learn from it as well. We will if our hope is to grow in…[Read more]

Ed,
So you believe you are more intelligent and wiser that God that wrote Scripture?
Once again Scripture does not ask not answer a lot of yes and no questions. If they were better for sharing the truth then Scripture would use them more often. In defending your action you are accusing God of wrongdoing.
So please stop and think or Satan…[Read more]

AndrewAD,
The Spirit and it is not a being, though it may have some attributes of a person. It is related to God in the same way a human’s spirit is related to him or her. There is a passage that uses that similarity to teach a lesson.

Ed,
There are few if any yes or no questions written in Scripture. Nor are there many. if any, yes or no answers. Why do you want something different?

Ed.
“Everlasting to Bethlehem”
There is no “to Bethlehem” in Micah 5:2.
There is only “out of” and “goings forth” and they both mean the same thing.

Ed,
When the Spirit landed on Jesus in the form of a dove he already had received the Spirit. That is two instances of the same Spirit and has to do with the fact that it can be present in more than one places at the same time. In this case it is present in Jesus at the same time it is present landing on him in the form of a dove.
That is…[Read more]

Ed,
I believe the Spirit gives gives different “gifts” at different times. The Spirit gave Jesus the ability to walk according to it when he was still in his Mother’s womb and gave the gifts of preaching the gospel and doing wonders at the Jordon.
I do not agree with Nick that Jesus was anointed king at the Jordon or that he was anointed king…[Read more]

All children are composed partly what there father was.
Yes, some may believe that way but I doubt miia is one.
Since neither of us is sure the righteous way to handle it is to seek understanding but your yes or no question will not do it since she believes she is answering it.
Point out why the answer is not clear and ask her if she…[Read more]

Remember that Love is patient and Love is kind. Seek to Love as God loves you. I also have to strive to increase my patience and kindness through faith in Jesus Christ.

Ed,
You understand what miia said so why act foolish.
Her answer implied that the Holy is not God but is part of God.
If that is not clear them seek to communicate to her why you find those words unclear.
I admit that if I thought she was a Trinitarian or a variation thereof then her answer would be unclear.

Miia,
I do not know if God is composed of spirit since the statement God is Spirit is just another way of saying God is love according to the context of John 4:24. A paraphrase of Jesus words would be “God is a Love: and they that worship him must worship him in love and in truth.” Considering that I do not know of any other evidence that he is…[Read more]

So it follows the Spirit came from eternity, as it is eternal, to Jesus at some period while he was in his mother’s womb. I do not know if that was when she was in Bethlehem or earlier in his life as she was in Nazareth or wherever else she was while she carried him.
These words from my “speech” answer your question. I did not include the w…[Read more]

God does not physical dwell in heaven but that is where he chose the center of his power to exist. Since he has no physical body the best that can be said is that he has a presence, aka an existence. That presence has a soul and a spirit just as each human does.
I do not even think he has a spirit “body” such as ghosts and demons have.…[Read more]

Kerwin. Can your yes be yes and your no be no. I will put you in the Hot Seat if I do not get and answer on this. BTW, “I don’t know” is an acceptable answer.
