Ed,
I am not the one to teach you English.

Ed,
You only reveal you lack of knowledge by trying to make “Son of God” mean something it does not.
You are well aware that God call both those that received the Law and those that received the Spirit his sons.
Doing so damages your credibility.

Ed,
Are you suggesting that any poor person can redeem their brother
and any poor person can give to God a ransom for him? y/n
(remember “I don’t know” is also an acceptable answer)No, I do not hear that from Psalms 49:6-7 which is speaking of why it is foolish to put your trust in the rich. It is also foolish to put your trust in the poor…[Read more]

Ed,
I spotted an error in what I wrote
Jesus, a believer, did the word of God as he was carried along by it and through faith he is the Christ believers can do the same. Moses is one of those believers.

Ed,
Jesus is an ordinary fellow who God set apart and gave his Spirit. (John 10:34-38)
Moses was not given the Spirit of God in the same way for all he could do was speak the word of God as he was carried along by it.

You have the wrong “them” as the Psalms is speaking to the inhabitants of the world about “They that trust in their wealth,
and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches” (Psalms 49:6)I assure you that Jesus has never belonged to the group that are “They that trust in their wealth,

Ed,
Only God saves. He saves believers through their faith that Jesus is the Christ. Thus God chose Jesus to be the savior of humanity.

Nick,
I am not sure what Paul means by 1 Corinthians 7 for each is judged according to his own sins. Children are not accountable for their sins. Never the less Jesus did not sin as a child.
They certainly seem to be tempted by human desires.
Also remember John recognized Mary.

Ed,
Hi Nick,
Your Jesus was just an ordinary fellow nullifies Psalms 49:7
“None of them(all ye inhabitants of the world) can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him”
…but the Scripture CANNOT be broken!
Who is “them”?
The answer is irrelevant as Nicks point is true.
kerwin replied to the topic Man verbalizes what many think in the forum View Points 9 years, 11 months ago
Nick,
Hi KW,
Should you make STATEMENTS you cannot support from scripture?
Surely opinions are irrelevant
It is an honest opinion based on the knowledge that premature children are tempted by their own desires from the time they are born. As far as I know Scripture does not mention when human beings are first tempted by sin.

Ed,
Jesus is not the Spirit of Christ.
The Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of God since they are unified. The Spirit of God is eternal so it can be said it comes from eternity.
I already stated Jesus was born after receiving the Spirit of God in his mother’s womb though I do not think I can prove that using Scripture alone.
I can even state…[Read more]

Ed,
I have more trouble understanding your words than those of Scripture because I lack context with your words.
The things Wisdom teaches us of her in the book of Proverbs are self evident.
The one who is now king did come out of Bethlehem.
God told his angels to worship Jesus as heir when he came into the world.

I guess it is hard for me to understand as I believe Jesus is the Christ and Jesus is a human being and I answered your question appropriately.
Yes, Jesus was born with his human spirit as he is a human being.

I am not sure what your point is. I do know what I am thinking. 1 Corinthians mentions the kingdom of God I am speaking of. It is the kingdom of heaven the bad fish are tossed out of.

Ed,
I object to the word born as human life begins at conception. Scripture does not reveal when a living human being gains a human spirit. John’ response to Mary reveals that at the latest it occurs by the end of the second trimester. Premature children seem to show it happens somewhat earlier, i,e, at least 23 weeks from conception.
Yes, I…[Read more]

Ed,
I have not inherited the kingdom of God but the kingdom of heaven was planted by Jesus on Pentecost over 2000 years ago. I do not see the kingdom of heaven today because Jesus stated I would know its citizens by their fruit. What I often see is those that have both a mixture of good and evil fruit. The Pharisees were known for such. I…[Read more]

Danny Dabbs,
Example I am human, so my son is human.
This premise is true but your reasoning is not valid since the words “Son” and “Father” have various meanings based on the context. Your reasoning assumes that Jesus is God’s son as of the body.
In reality a non-human could be the son or father of a human if they have the same spirit.…[Read more]
