Ed,
The angels of God did not crucify Jesus but there is evidence that even they were not told everything.
Like the Jews they did know that God promised that the Christ would be an offspring of King David.
I am not debating the Christ title because I don’t know when Jesus was literally anointed or if he was on credited with being so.
I do…[Read more]

@t8,
You cannot get the words “came in the flesh” from Philippians 2:5-7. By using them you reveal that you have already made you conclusion before interpreting the Scripture. That Scripture is therefor evidence that supports your doctrine.
Form is a synonym of image and the later is used to speak of character of the individual in Scripture.…[Read more]

Ed,
”the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Rev 13:8)
God planned for Jesus to be slain from the foundation of the world. God’s plan cannot be thwarted so Scripture refers to it as done even though it is not. Romans 4:17 speaks of this idea.
God did plan on Jesus being anointed Lord of all things in heaven and on earth before the…[Read more]

t8,
It is not the words of the angels that Jesus disagrees with but rather your interpretation of them. Either Jesus lied and he was he was not appointed when he claimed or your interpretation is mistaken. I am convinced Jesus did not lie and neither did the angel.
Claiming I am having a problem with the angel’s words does not heal the break…[Read more]

@t8,
I believe you already know that different translations translate those words differently. They use the words “But made himself of no reputation…” which cannot be interpreted as you choose. You are essentially claiming the words “empty himself” are the true translation in order to maintain what you believe is the truth.
If you are so…[Read more]

Gene,
You should read all of what I say and not just go by me pointing out perceived flaws in another’s argument or study.
I actually think there is a genetic element as well as a psychological element to the direction of a person’s sexual orientation.
I am not sure I would call it learned behavior though because I lack needed knowledge to do so.

Hoghead,
The Son of God is eternal if you are speaking of the logos, the word that comes out God mouth. The logos incarnated in the human being Jesus Christ. The logos is not a being but rather the very word God framed the ages through.
Modern Christianity is thwarted by those who invented teachings based on the writing of a Jew to Jews but…[Read more]

This one should be placed in sermons as is a third party speaker.

@t8,
You are implying Scripture is broken as Jesus claims he was not made Lord until after his resurrection from the dead. I have already revealed that God declares things before they occur as if they were by pointing out that 1) Scripture states believers were in Christ before the world began and 2) Jeremiah was known by God before he was in…[Read more]

@t8,
In the identical twin studies, Dr. Whitehead has been struck by how fluid and changeable sexual identity can be.
Psychologists used to claim this in the late 70’s and early 80’s and perhaps still do.
kerwin replied to the topic Why are some people homosexual? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 8 years, 11 months ago
t8,
“Because they have identical DNA, it ought to be 100%,” Dr. Whitehead notes. But the studies reveal something else. “If an identical twin has same-sex attraction the chances the co-twin has it are only about 11% for men and 14% for women.”
I have to disagree with him on this one as some genetics is more complex than just a change of an alle…[Read more]

David,
Rape is not a good example as it is under-reported as well as being a hot button issue.
That is not my main point.
My main is that non-Hispanic European whites are dying off and that means that Europe where they dominate has an even more aging population than even the United States. crime, even violent ones, are more often committed by…[Read more]

@admin and hoghead1,
That is a troll and it is best not to feed them. The post serves no purpose but to attempt to get a flame war going. The individual signed up to make that one post as homosexuality is an issue they hold but are not rational with. They will probably loose privileges on the board quickly.

Hoghead,
Was there actual bad language or is it just something you are calling bad language? The words “bad language” is generally used for sexually crude language which has become acceptable though unprofessional in our culture.

It is bad English.
The word Jesus should not of been in the sentence. I got one though mixed up with another and it just fell apart after that. Here is the correction.

Jesus discussing sources and that is never off topic. If both parties cannot agree on sources a debate there is no basis for a meaningful conversation.

I am unchurched.
“natural inclinations” are called the “flesh” or “carnal” in some versions though the later has picked up more negative connotations that Scripture uses. Of course I am speaking of particular one that interfere with doing coursework.

hoghead,
Perhaps it would be useful but it also requires time and a stronger ability to suppress my natural inclinations. I have more belief in the former than the later and it; most likely due to learned helplessness.
