Thank you!

AndrewAD,
He does not see being God as being loot to be grasped but rather makes himself a servant to God and man.
I am paraphrasing some of the words from Philippians 2:6-7.
I do not know what you mean by “higher state” but I used “higher rank” as in raising a soldier from one rank to another or the civilian equivalent of doing so.
I did…[Read more]

AndrewAD,
I simply take John at what he states. Since he says word it follows he is speaking about the word and not about Jesus Christ. Being as he is talking about the word that comes out of God’s mouth it is clear to see he is using the statement the word was God in the qualitative sense. There are Trinitarians who claim that the noun in the…[Read more]

Andrew,
I am saying that those individuals who love darkness find that believing Jesus is a human being just like them as too much to handle because that knowledge reveals they have no excuse for their evil deeds. These people make him safe by claiming he is either God or a being composed of spirit.
There are some of those who will not come…[Read more]

Andrew AD,
Jesus embodies the word of God as he is the exact image of his righteousness and holiness and the one God chose to share the place of the word that comes out of his mouth.
Jesus is a human being, just as Scripture literally states.

Andrew,
So you do not realize that the ones who do not receive the word that comes out of God’s mouth are not God’s children?
The ones that receive the word of God are God’s children.
It is not rocket science or anything complicated.
Should I repeat the parable of the sower?
Do you not know that Jesus promised those that that hunger and…[Read more]

Andrew,
Not if one takes St John’s prologue simply as it says for it plainly declares Jesus to be the word that was with God and was God
That is a presumption based on Catholic theology. John’s words in chapter 1 are vague doe to the fact there is unwritten context to it. This is know though many deny it preferring to see it as proving t…[Read more]

T8,
I assume Nick knows he was essentially repeating himself when he stated “The Word was in the form of God. The Word was God” as both sentences are paraphrases of one another. Some Trinitarians realize this but they presume image and its synonyms means Jesus has the characteristic of literally being God even though he is not the Father. Note…[Read more]

unknown author.
(Psalms 107:23-32 clearly represents turmoil of the soul)
A good topic.
The whole Psalms speaks of those that hunger and thirst for righteousness and how God draws them to him.

These threads dealing with prophecy are not my prime interest since they seem to attract those that are often presumptuous.

Ed,
There is one Spirit and those that follow the true gospel of Christ receive and walk according to it. Jesus walks according to it and so did not sin even when he was tempted as his brothers. God walks by it as he cannot be tempted by sin.

David,
There has never been a study of violence in the whole world and it is extremely difficult to get statistics of any kind from developing nations. There is also questions about statistics in the developed nations though I am not surprised violence is said to have been higher during the middle ages when there was less accountability for crimes.

My neighborhood has been going downward the last few years. Two nights ago I heard what sounded like fireworks and then a loud crash. In the 2nd century, the site was used for a temple to Jupiter Capitolinus. It was redeveloped following the Arab conquest.
There was a temple of Jupiter previous to the temple built by heretics. That temple was actually dedicated to a triad.
