32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” 40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what…[Read more]

Thank you all, for such a sense of community on this forum. I appreciate those of you who have also gone out of their way to send me personal, private email messages, as well. It's been encouraging to continue studying and searching for God. For lack of better description, I feel as if I can feel God reaching out to me.Thank you.

My father was so consumed with sleeping medication, anti-depressants, alcohol, etc… paired in with an anxiety and depression condition, he was a man that was not thinking rationally. I miss him unbelievably, I've never experienced such grief before… Despite his shortcomings, I know he was a good man that was constantly going to AA meetings and…[Read more]

I'm so heartfelt by all of your messages, honestly. I was apprehensive to post this on this forum but I'm finding solace in the fact that I did. I feel guilty so soon after his death enjoying little things. I'm having periods of uncontrollable emotions. I'm twenty-one years of age and I do not know how I could possibly enjoy the remaining 40+…[Read more]

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will investigate some of the writings suggested above. I actually come from a family background of avidly practicing Jehovah's Witnesses. I was raised by non-practicing parents but have grandparents still active in their congregation. (To put it shortly, I am fairly familiar with Watchtower publications.)My…[Read more]

Hi,Thanks for the reply. Yes I've been a member to this forum for quite awhile and I don't post frequently. Generally I just read others discussions or post when I have a question I feel needs answering.I'm a young guy and I've been contemplating getting a small, moderate tattoo. But after some small research I found some scriptures (such as…[Read more]

In response:Both my parents were both raised Jehovah's Witnessess but neither are religiously active. My mother has a fairly solid faith, my father I'm a little more weary. I'm aware of the scriptures teaching that a believing-woman should not divorce her unbelieving-husband (and vice versa) because the spouse is sanctified through their…[Read more]

Hi Adam Pastor and thanks for the response, I've saved it and am going to examine it more deeply. I've read arguments saying we 'are the soul' and have some research collected but would still like to keep my mind open and get more research on the argument of the soul being seperate to the body.Finding the truth is a long process…but well worth…

I believe the dead sleep.”No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.”(Jn 3:13)If no one entered heaven before Christ ascended back to the heavens, wouldn't all of humanity been residing in fiery torment? Scripture even says such figures like David did no ascend at death, then where was he; hell?I do not w…[Read more]

“…whom no one has seen or can see.”1 Timothy 6:1620 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” 23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”Exodus 33:20, 23It seems that our flesh bodies cannot survive after seeing the face of God. However, regarding the Son:7…[Read more]

I don't know if this could be considered relevant to Christmas, as there was no such thing when the scriptures were written. I'm sure everyone may have seen these:Jeremiah 10:2 says”Do not learn the ways of the nations”and continues: 3 For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman…[Read more]

I have a question referring to this bible chapter.22 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; 23 I was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began. 24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth, when there were no springs abounding with water; 25 before the…[Read more]

A quick addition, I do not mean two Gods together who are co-equal, I mean Jehovah God the Father, and his firstborn Son, Jesus Christ, a lesser God, but still very high and powerful.

Hello all! I am actually the originator of this topic, and would firstly like to thank you all for giving me such helpful advice. There are certainly very friendly people on this network.I really do not accept the trinity, though as their is evidence to support it, there is much to deny it. The problem is, I understand Jesus is a spirit being,…[Read more]
