Yeah, I know it should be there. I mean, its also one of my favorite books in the Bible, and its sometimes hard to understand but its great. I just know people that dont believe it should be there and I'm thinking, there is a LOT of good information and VERY useful and truthful stuff that does NOT contredict ANYTHING in the Bible. I'm just real…[Read more]

The Bible was written over a 1,500 year span. It was written by more than 40 authors, from every walk of life including: kings, peasents, philosophers, fishermen, poets, statesman, and scholars, etc. The Bible was alwo written in different places, on three continents and three languages. None of the originally penned manuscripts exist. All we…[Read more]

If God made the bad things good everytime something bad occured, what would be the point? Personally, i know exactly what goes on in the world, and i know, if God came in EVERY time something bad happened, we would know nothing…learn absolutely nada. God is like a judge. If you murder someone, and your in trial, you can list off a whole bunch…[Read more]

I guess what i was mostly looking for was why did God seem so much more loving in the new testament than in the old.

I do understand all that, and I deffinately love the Bible, but the reason I was asking this was because my friend was questioning me about it. He's not a christian and I just wanted to explain it to him in an understandable explanation. I do pray for him all the time, but I really do want to explain it to him. Please, do help me.

I did some thinking on this matter and i coppied the same thing using three different columns and in a simplified manner. It came to me the the Protestant and the Hebrew are very much the same thing. Though the first commandment in Hebrew says something in a different way, it says “I am the Lord thy God…” i would think that it means the He IS…[Read more]

The Bible was written many thousands of years ago. In it, it tells us many things, hundreds or thousands of years before it happened. It is deffinately interesting. In it it tells us that the earth was round, earth is suspended in space, the universe is running down, that blood sustains life, that stars produce sound, that the earth rotates on…[Read more]

In Ecclesiastes 7:16 it says “Do not be overly righteous, nor be overly wise: why should you destroy yourself?” then in verse 17, it says “Do not be overly wicked”, Theres the overly in there, it doesn't say don't be wicked at all, leading me to believe that not ALL wicked would go to hell. I mean, what do you think that verse means?
itsme replied to the topic Is there a God in the forum Faith 20 years, 6 months ago
Only a fool wouldn't believe in God. Even the devil knows theres a God. I mean, its almost impossible for someone to live with himself if he doesn't believe in something, because thats just stupid foolishness. Whoever heard of a painting being formed by fire, by nothing, just being there, doesn't a painter have to paint it before it is…

ok. my friend keeps talking and says if God is so loving and all, (if you led an awesome life and did everything he said and all he wanted you to) but didn't believe, would they be sent to hell…yes, i know, but why? thats what he keeps asking too. I mean, i know about that rich man that did everything good but didn't want to fallow Jesus…[Read more]

There are many parables in the Bible in which Jesus talks about, and much of it is not. The Bible I believe , in my opinion, has been somewhat small amountadly changed in transalation. although at many times i wonder how much, the literal meaning of it is still there. Like lets say, in the ten commandments, one of them is to not kill. We all…[Read more]
