    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Flesh is not water.
    Water is not flesh.
    No connection there.

      Water not mentioned…
      Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
      Acts 15:19-20 (KJV)

      For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
      Acts 15:28-29 (KJV)

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    All men are born of flesh.
    Not all men are reborn from above.
    REPENT, BELIEVE AND BEBAPTISED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Explanation, based on your opinion, is not a witness.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Good you cleared up that water baptism is not just for the Jews.
    What did you mean then?

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    What did he say?
    Flesh is born of flesh. No mention of water there except in your imagination.

      That was the explanation of “Born of Water” in the previous verse!
      Context!

    If only you could show it from scripture.
    But no witnesses except for your strong opinion.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Men do not baptise in the Spirit.
    Baptisms done by men are of water.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    So your claim is that the baptism of water is the baptism of John and is for the Jews only?
    ‘Here is water. What is to prevent me from being baptised?’
    And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they bth went down into the water, Philip as well as the Eunuch; and he baptised him.
    And when they came up out of the water,the Spirit of the…[Read more]

    Indeed.
    And born of water is not born of flesh.

    And Paul said
    ‘John baptised with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in him who was coming after him, that is Jesus Christ.’

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Indeed the baptism of John was of water and essential for the Jews.
    Lk 7.30
    But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected God’s purpose for themselves, not having been baptised by John.

    And there is no confusion with the baptism of water in the name of Jesus Christ

    Indeed Lk 3.16 specifies the baptisms.
    No confusion there.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Yes angelic sons of God abandoned their proper abode and came into the daughters of men.
    Angels are not of flesh and not born of flesh and God does not forgive nor give help to angels.

    So how does John 3 relate to this as it was not spoken to or about angels?

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    THE MENTION OF WATER BAPTISM WAS TO THE JEWS.
    what does this mean?

      ” Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto…[Read more]

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    God is a God of peace and not confusion.
    If anyone can appoint a meaning to baptism such is confusion..
    Unless specified I suggest that baptism refers to baptism in water.
    Acts 2.41
    So then those who had received his word were baptised; and there were added that day about 3000 souls.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    So if the word REPENT appears alone do you ASSUME that water baptism is not required?
    Scripture does not say SPIRIT BAPTISM SAVES but it does say baptism saves in1Peter 3.
    When scripture says baptism do you ASSUME it means BAPTISM IN THE SPIRIT?

    Cornelius and his friends were baptised in the Spirit first, but Peter insisted they be baptised in water.
    What did Philip discuss with the Eunuch that caused him to react when he saw the water

    Again I ask why do you deny the requirement for gentiles to be water baptised in the name of Jesus Christ?
