(1)He said himself that he only speaks that which he hears the Father speak.

(2)Thus Jesus speaks, but only that which is of God.

    Hi T8,

    1) I don’t mean to sound overly ‘picky’, but Jesus didn’t say that about himself; he instead
said that about God’s HolySpirit (him speaking through us). (ref. John 16:13, Matt.10:20)

    2) Jesus said he speaks…[Read more]

    Hi ED,

Lk 2 does not say what you claim.

Do you have any other support?

    Hi Nick, of course.

    1. Luke 2:11: is a proclamation from an Angel that Christ Jesus was about to be born (witness #1)
    2. Matt 2:3-4: King Herod was troubled and demanded where Christ should be born. (witness #2)
In both these instances they are calling Jesus “Christ”…[Read more]

    Hi Ed,

    Son of God = Lord.

That sounds to be just a personal interpretation.

    Hi Nick,

It may sound like a personal interpretation, but hear me out.
There is a very good reason I’m putting those ideas together for you.
“Lord”: in both the Hebrew (Adonai) and the Greek (Kurios) define as “Owner”

JEHOVAH is The LORD (The Owner) … “God”

    Ed,

How do the words of Jesus in John 14:14 support your claim that the Spirit prays to Jesus.

John 14:14 is a call for us to ask Christ and he says he will certainly do it.
And Acts 3:6-7 is offered (to you) as proof that Christ means what he says…

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
And he took him by the right…[Read more]

    Hi ed,

Scripture say that Jesus was made both Lord and Christ(acts 2.36)

    But you disagree?

    No nick,

(1)Jesus was made Christ from conception (Luke 2:11)
and (2)Jesus was made Lord at Jordan. (Acts 10:38)

    Concerning his Son Jesus
    (1)Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
And (2)declared to be the “Son…[Read more]

    Hi Nick,

Acts 10 offers your theory no support.

    Hi Ed,

Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit(acts 10)

    Not Jesus of Bethlehem.

    Yes Nick,

But Jesus of Nazareth was born Christ (Luke 2:11)

    You disagree with Scripture.

    Ed,

Sincere prayer is one of the fruits of the Spirit even though God does not pray to anyone.

I do not know where it is written that the Spirit of Christ prayed to anyone or where anyone prayed to the Spirit of Christ.

I do know that Jesus often prayed to God as he was carried along by the Spirit.

    Ed,

(1)The reason that the Spirit of God is also known is the Spirit of Christ (2)is because God gave Jesus a name that is above every other name. (2 Philippians 2:9)

    Hi Kerwin,

(1)There is NO REASON for thinking that. (2)The reason Jesus’ name
is above every other name is because Jesus’ name is actually “YA-shu-a”

    Nick,

An entity may or may not be a person.

    Hi Kerwin,

    Correct the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ are both entities;

But the Spirit of Christ is a person (ref. Luke 2:11)
while the Spirit of God is not a person. (ref. Numbers 23:11)

  • Profile picture of Ed J

    Ed,

Why do you think the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of God are two different entities?

    Hi Kerwin,

Because “the spirit of Christ” was not praying to himself.

    Hi Ed,

Why try to discern what is spiritual by using illogic?

    Why?

Because God made his word to be understandable. (ref. Isaiah 1:18)

    Hi Ed,

So by your teaching Jesus was not anointed at the Jordan but was somehow anointed prior to his birth.

    it has no support

    No Nick,

You are trying to blend what I’m telling you with a fixed position of yours that is an error.

Jesus was born Christ (Luke 2:11), and Jesus Christ
was anointed with the HolySpirit at Jordan. (Acts 10:38)

    Hi ED,

God has given us a vision of how things exist in the spiritual realm.

Men have tried to translate those things into how they are in the natural realm.

They presume God is speaking of separate beings but there is no such separation in the Holy Spirit.
