I have a legitimate question: is what I listed from Revelation 20:4 two
things or are they merely the same thing spoken two different ways
(as you believe is the case of Rom 8:9 despite what John 14:23 says):“I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for
(1)the witness of Jesus,
and for
(2)the word of God”
(Rev 20:4)1. The witness of…[Read more]

“The Spirit of Christ” coming from eternity to Bethlehem
– and –
“The Spirit of God” coming from eternity to Jordanalso make this distinction abundantly clear

Hi Ed,
Jesus spoke of the differing roles of the Spirit of the Father and the Spirit of Christ in the one Spirit in Jn14-16
And you can see times where the servant Spirit of Christ is in action.
That Spirit prays to and worships God in His children.
two spirits Nick,
1. The Spirit of God
2. The Spirit of ChristYou can deny this all you…[Read more]

Hi Ed,
Keep guessing.
There are two counsellors but the Spirit is one.
What God has joined together let no man put asunder.
Nick,
two counselors = two spirits
God isn’t married to his son.Ed J replied to the topic Was Jesus Christ born in Bethlehem or born at the Jordan? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 9 years, 10 months ago

Hi ED,
THE SPIRIT is written frequently throughout the NT.
So please clarify if this refers to the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Christ if you think they are divided.
Hi Nick,
It depends on the context, take for example Rev 19:10:
“The Spirit” there is in reference to “the Spirit of Christ”Take for another example 1John 4:6 (“the spirit” is…[Read more]

Hi Ed,
Gal 5.25
If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit
For you which?
“God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them;” (2 Cor 6:16)

Hi ED.
1cor 12
Now there are a variety of gifts, but the same Spirit-for you which?
Please divide this chapter for us too.
Hi Nick,
The only thing I need to divide is soul and spirit.
It is the HolySpirit that gives us the gifts,
the spirit of Christ gave us the HolySpirit.____________

Hi Ed,
My challenge to you is to read Romans 8
Hi Nick,
Romans 8:9 tells us exactly who the “WE” that Jesus is referring to in John 14:23 is:
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, (1)if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
(2)Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:9)1. The Spirit of God…[Read more]

Hi Kerwin,
Nick doesn’t get what you are saying, but I do;
here is a verse proving what you are trying to say:“Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalms 51:10)Good job Kerwin!

Hi Ed,
So you say that you have acquired wisdom but others are still distant from her.
Are you sure that it is true?
Nick,
“Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
