This debate concerning who the “word” is in John 1:1 has been going on for almost 20 years, almost 24,000 comments, and still no agreement of who or what the “word” is! Thank you for your response. The “not really” however confuses me. So in some aspect it does matter whether we believe in the trinity concerning our salvation?

I realize I am joining this discussion late; however, the topic of the “trinity” has been one that has troubled me recently.

So I must begin by asking: do you believe our salvation is dependent upon believing the trinity?
