The Bible speaks of God as having eyes, ears, hands, arms, fingers, feet, and a heart.—Genesis 8:21; Exodus 3:20; 31:18; Job 40:9; Psalm 18:9; 34:15.Which of these does your Bible capitalize?

“It is an expression of God Himself,” as you say, but not God himself. When speaking of God Himself, our Bible does capitilize the H in Himself for example, although I admit, I sometimes forget to do that myself when writing. As it is not a person, but His spirit, the need for capitilization is lacking perhaps.Could it be that many Bibles capitilize…[Read more]

Right. Isn't there also a scripture where Jesus says: I am from the relams above. How is this to be taken, if not to mean he is from heaven?

Who is greater? The one sent or the one doing the sending?Quote About the same time, Christ's disciples were sent into the world!! (John 17:18) As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. In other words, neither John the Baptist nor Christ's disciples literally pre-existed their birth/conception. Yet they…[Read more]

This true Bible account also sheds light on the theology of Hindu writings known as the Puranas. The Puranas record the accounts of gods and giants and their mighty works, their love affairs, and their wars and miracles. The Puranas depict a class of deities called Gandharvas who possess a strong earthy odour. Gandharvas are also associated with…[Read more]

Like others of the post-Flood times, Javan, the progenitor of the Greek people, undoubtedly heard the account of pre-Flood times and circumstances, likely from his father Japheth, a survivor of the Flood.

For example, a 4,000-year-old Babylonian epic describes the superhuman exploits of Gilgamesh, a mighty, violent demigod whose “lust no virgin to her lover.” Another example, from Greek legend, is the superhuman Hercules (or Heracles). Born to Alcmene, a human, and fathered by the god Zeus, Hercules set out on a series of violent adventures aft…[Read more]

Tales about liaisons between gods and humans—and the “heroes” or “demigods” born from these unions—were common to Greek, Egyptian, Ugaritic, Hurrian, and Mesopotamian theology. Gods of Greek mythology had human form and great beauty. They ate, drank, slept, had sexual intercourse, quarreled, fought, seduced, and raped. Though supposedly…[Read more]

Quote Today those of large stature are admired for their sporting prowess. Sport plays a huge role in the interests of men and generally a big strong man will be able to defeat a smaller strong man. Perhaps love of sport is idolatry of man to some, and even thence the idolatry of angelic influence? Could it be that some influence of the Nephilim…[Read more]

I'm not completely certain what you were asking Kenrch. But here is a thought:Rom. 8:28, 29: “We know that God makes all his works cooperate together for the good of those who love God, those who are the ones called according to his purpose; because those whom he gave his first recognition he also foreordained to be patterned after the image o…[Read more]

Sorry, I didn't read your original question very well. No, it's not capatilized in the Bible I use. I've never thought about it before, but I would guess the reasons are these:God's holy spirit is not a person, but rather something he possesses, and thus capitilzation isn't neccessary, as when used for names. No more than I would capitilize…[Read more]

Kenrch said:”Someone please explain John3:13 seems to say that the only ones going to heaven are the ones who came out of heaven. Which means that the apostles (for sure) had to of come down from heaven???”The apostles did not come down from heaven. What Jesus said was of course true. At that time, no one had ascended to the spiritual heavens.…[Read more]

I wasn't aware I was always doing this. You're right, I do refer to it that way a lot. If we're referring to God's holy spirit, then I guess I generally use the words “holy spirit.” I just checked and I found “holy spirit” 106 times in my Bible and “spirit” 823 times (which includes the 106)

“God may have been experimenting and developing and perfecting His creation over time,” said Nick. I've read most of this topic. My question is Why? Why the dinosaurs? Liljon, circular reasoning does not a good argument make.”Jesus is YHVH so he is referred to as God more than twice.”Since the very question we are considering is: Is Jesus God, you cannot skip a step and say Jesus is God because….Jesus is God. That's what we're considering. Understand? Does that make sence?Literally A THOUSAND TIMES the word…[Read more]

Show me a scripture that says Jesus is God, and I'll show you a scripture that says Satan is God. I'll show you a scripture that say the angels are God's. I'll show you a scripture that says human judges were Gods. And indeed, they are and were. You may show a scripture that says that Jesus is “mighty God.” But isn't Jehovah refered to as…[Read more]
