Quote Quote (chicano4571 @ Jan. 07 2007,01:17)thank you. the scribes told JESUSCHRIST he was presumptuous too.
They did? Have you got a Bible reference for that?I was actually wondering this too.MATTHEW 3:9“and do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘As a father we have Abraham.’ For I say to YOU that God is able to raise up children to Abrah…[Read more]david replied to the topic Animals in heaven in the forum Faith 19 years, 9 months ago
Quote God must have thought highly of His animals since animals were His first choice as a help meet for Adam.Gen 2:18 And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. Hi kenrch. Two questions. First, which Bible do you use? Just wondering? Secondly, what is a “help meet,” because you…[Read more]

Quote Why do unanimously the disciples of John the apostle, Polycarp and Ignatius, and the other ante-nicean fathers disagree with the trinitarians? Why do the trinitarians refuse to accept that the early fathers know what they are talking about? These are good questions. I have asked them before. I didn't really get a responce. On the first page…[Read more]

It is always distressing to the extreme when someone we love does not accept the message of salvation that we proclaim. But such is to be expected. Shortly after fortelling the worldwide preaching work to be expected in the conclusion of this system of things, (mat 24:14) Jesus said:MATTHEW 24:37-39“For just as the days of Noah were, so the p…[Read more]

I would like someone to define their understanding of what the trinity is.I understand what Catholics believe, but there are obviously some on here who teach or believe a trinity other than that. I want to have a precise understanding of your beliefs. I've asked this a few times. I have no reply. Can anyone make this plain to me.david

Humans, not animals, were made ‘in the image and likeness of God.’ (Genesis 1:26) And whereas animals were created with a limited life span, humans had the prospect of living on earth forever. (Genesis 3:22, 23; Psalm 37:29) Jesus Christ said that to enjoy “everlasting life,” we must exercise faith and take in knowledge of God—things that anim…[Read more]

Quote The Bible says that there are Three. Each God and eternal.Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Again, I am forced to point out the obvious: This scripture in no way shows that the holy spirit is God, or part of a trinity. It does show three. But…[Read more]

Quote avid… Look mate, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to reneg on addressing your questions. This is an excellent question. It's one they dare not attempt to even look at. Their eyes seem to glaze over it, as if it's not even there. It's uncanny the way this question is invisible to some. (2 cor 4:4)WHY DOESN’T THE HOLY SPIRIT KNOW WHAT GOD KNOWS? WHERE IS HE IN THIS SCRIPTURE–MARK 13:32?How could “the Holy Spirit” be kept unaware…[Read more]

hmmm. Pork.I believe it was Nick that said “pork.”I think this is a really good thread, that deserves some attention from time to time. False reasoning is used on this thread a lot, to “prove” someone's opinion.

Yes, I don't think this has been mentioned. When you look in a large book store, you will find the word “majick” or “majik” or “majic” in a section that encompasses divination, astrology, wicca, other religions, and there will be a section of Bibles near by.This will be a large section. In a completely separate place, you will find a few “magic”…[Read more]

Quote Surely if we can ascibe peronality to every other Spirit being in the universe, then we can ascribe personality to Gods Spirit! OBVIOUSLY, WJ, you can ascribe personality to every other spirit “being.”BUT, that is what is in question–whether the holy spirit is a spirt BEING.So what you said means very little.Quote QuoteAgain, the fact that…[Read more]

“We have a jar full of our own spirit first.”Charity, I still have no idea what you believe. Why is that?If the trumpet sounds an indistinct call, who will get ready for the battle? as the scripture says. While your words are pretty, I still don't know what you believe. Is the holy spirit a part of the trinity, a person, worshipped, God?
