Quote I cant even find it on BibleGateway.com. No you can't. There are many Bible's that aren't on Gateway. If you want one, the next time one of JW's come to your door (wherever you live; Mat 24:14) ask them for one. Our Bible's are available to the greater majority of mankind. Not everyone has the internet. Most everyone does have a door.…[Read more]

Back to T8's unanswered question:Thirdly, eternal life is given to the righteous. The wicked do not have eternal life even if it is in a constant state of pain I would have thought. To live is to be conscious surely?

We should read the whole Bible Nick and understand Jehovah and the scriptures as a whole instead of narrowing in on one or two scriptures while ignoring thousands of others that are clear and non-parabolic in nature.

Quote Hi david,All you have to do is sit at the feet of Jesus to learn. But do not call him a liar. Please quote where I did this. What I have done is repeatedly said that you are misunderstanding this parable. It is clearly a parable. Here's the thing. This is the main cornerstone scripture for you on your belief that Jehovah tortures people…[Read more]

Quote without evil we could never understand “good”. So we have to see and know Satan to know that Jehovah is good.I don't believe this. And I don't believe that Jehovah created evil. I believe that he made men in such a way that they have free will.(Ecclesiastes 7:29) “See! This only I have found, that the God made mankind upright, but they t…[Read more]

Quote Why did they fall over backwards when Jesus used the name of Almighty God as His own: The divine name of “I AM”? And why would the soldiers fall backwards if not for the awesomeness of the words of Jesus? Cult Buster, it was because of the situation. They came to him to arrest him and the normal responce of most would be to hide or run.…[Read more]

Quote Hi P,They use their own version-the NEW WORLD TRANSLATION I own a couple different versions and have quoted from many bibles while on here. JW's actually print a coupe different Bibles. I tend to prefer Bibles that haven't removed God's name thousands of times and replaced it with “LORD” or “GOD”.

Thirdly, eternal life is given to the righteous. The wicked do not have eternal life even if it is in a constant state of pain I would have thought. Um. I checked that scripture. Nowhere does it say that he created “Satan” meaning “resister/opposer.”In a sense, satan created himself, or at least turned himself into satan, much the way that a child isn't born a criminal, but turns himself into one.

Death, inherited from Adam, and Hades will be thrown into this lake of fire. Can these two abstract things suffer? No. But the fire here can and does represent their disappearance, which will take place once they have ‘given up those dead in them,’ that is, after the resurrection of the dead.—Revelation 20:13, 14.

Quote The Greek here is ego eimi, which any first-semester Greek student can tell you means “I am.” It should also be noted that it would be rather strange for people to stone Jesus for saying that he “had been.” Yes, if Jesus just said: “I am” or he said: “had been,” that would be odd for someone to say.
