Quote Ed, you said this:The Bible teaches: There No forgiveness for rejecting The HolySpirit as GOD…Then you quoted a scripture that didn't say that at all.Ed, “speaking against the holy spirit” does not equal “rejecting the holy spirit as God.”SO FAR, HERE IS WHAT WE HAVE:We thus have no actual instances of the holy spirit being called…[Read more]

I get it. So, you believe:–The holy spirit is a person, therefore:When it says that “Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you” you take it to mean that the holy spirit as a person, is Fathering Jesus. Hence, the holy spirit is Jesus Father, and since Jesus Father is God, therefore, the holy spirit is G…[Read more]

The Greek of John 1:1c has no indefinite article. (“a”) So, if someone translates it into a language that does have indefinite articles (such as English, Coptic, etc) the translator must put the “a” or “an” in where it is needed. (Every English Bible does this thousands of times.)It was translated from Greek (which has no indefinite article)…[Read more]

Quote Jesus is at the right hand (vs. 3) and is called “God” by the Father Himself (vs. 8)I'd just like to point out that not all Bibles translate it that way:Example:“About the Son, however, God said: “Your kingdom, O God,will last forever! You will rule over your people with justice.”-TODAY'S ENGLISH VERSION.A footnote says: “…..or God is your…[Read more]

It seems to me we are both making assumptions.1. I am assuming that when it says “Jehovah” that it is referring to “Jehovah.”2. You being a trinitarian want to assume that when it says “Jehovah” it means more than just Jehovah.I consider #1 to be normal thinking as used every day a thousand times with reference to others. My assumption is based…[Read more]

Ok, Is 1:18, this is where I decided to enter this conversation:Prove to us that in every occasion the title “El Shadday” is used in OT scripture it's always applied to the Father and never to the Logos. I've asked David to do this once and he declined. You also stated:How do you know that El Shaddai is never applied to the Yeshua in the OT?How do…[Read more]

Quote Your argument rests on the premise that “Jehovah” is exclusively the name of the Father in the OT. This is an unproven assumption and that's where your logic breaks down. Substantiate your premise (i.e. prove that every reference to YHWH in the OT speaks solely of the Father of Yeshua) and you are moving towards developing a valid…[Read more]

In my mind, it is clear that the BURDEN OF PROOF rests on Paul. We don't go around assuming everything is a trinity. It's the other way around. We assume things are not trinities until they are shown to be. One way to show that the trinity is true, is if Jehovah, his son, and the holy spirit, are all equal and all almighty. But scripture only…[Read more]

Quote DavidWhy don't you use this same logic in the NT?The word Lord (kyrios) is found 748 times in the NT and the vast majority of the time it is speaking of Jesus, except for a few times it is referring to the Father.Should we assume that those passages are not the Father but rather Jesus?I thought you didn't like to play the numbers game…[Read more]
