Let it be our precious privilege to preach Christ crucified to those who know Him not; and to those who know Him, Christ glorified. Let Christ be first and Christ be last and Christ fill all between. Let us not look back and vaunt ourselves with, “I prayed, I repented, I was baptized, and I—,” but let us rather shout with the Apostle “no longer…[Read more]

Hi Nick, Notice in Acts 17:30 “…condoning the times of IGNORANCE, Paul then does away with their idols, leaving nothing of their religion but the unknown God, Who knows their ignorance and bears with it, but now charges them to change their minds in view of future judgment, which is assured by the resurrection of Christ from the dead. Paul…[Read more]

THE DOINGS OF GODOur salvation is not out of ourselves. We do not possess it because we have done this or that in order to acquire it. Consequently, boasting is debarred (Rom.3:27). This is because we are God’s achievement. “For His achievement are we” (Eph.2: 10a). We are saved because we are God’s achievement. It is just that simple and this is…[Read more]

Hi Samuel, Thanks for your reply, I found your point of view interesting. While I do not agree to all points made, I enjoy hearing from all, we can all listen to each other and not be offended when we do not share the same beliefs. Hi Nick, These words apply to all mankind. God will reconcile all mankind to himself, through the blood of Christ, who died for all mankind, not for just some. Hi Nick, Yes Nick, there are advantages to earning your own salvation, Jesus would not have needed to go through his sacrifcial death, no need if you can do it all yourself. How can you boast if God does it all? How can you feel so superior unless you can puff yourself up and say “I did it, see how clever I am, a lot smarter than my sinning…[Read more]
