So Christ died for nothing?
chosenone replied to the topic The unforgiveable sin in the forum Scriptural Teachings 17 years, 11 months ago
Nick, you say, “No scripture speaks of grace given to unbelievers except grace to repent”. No need to repent, when grace is given to unbelievers, they BELIEVE! All is of God, nothing is of man.(lest we should boast)Blessings.

God will be All in all. In this context (1cor.15), All means All. Amen.

Hi Nick. All WILL be in Christ, see 1Cor.15:25-28.For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet.26 The last enemy is being abolished: death.27 For He subjects all under His feet. Now whenever He may be saying that all is subject, it is evident that it is outside of Him Who subjects all to Him.28 Now, whenever all…[Read more]

Eph.2:8-108 For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God's approach present,9 not of works, lest anyone should be boasting.10 For His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them.Blessings.

1Cor.15:22-2822 For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified.23 Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; thereupon those who are Christ's in His presence;24 thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and…[Read more]

This “we” are all mankind. We are not under the “Old Covenant” and the “Law”, but under “Grace”. For in Grace, through faith (of Jesus Christ Eph.3:13) are you saved. Eph.2:8.You say, “all men are called to repent”. Not under the covenent of “Grace”. Jesus died for the sins of “All Mankind”, what do we have to repent of? Surely His sacrifice…[Read more]

Hi Samuel, You must correctly cut the word of truth IITim 2:15. These words were spoken while Isreal was still under the “Old Covenent”, still under the “law”. We are not now under the Law, but under the covenent of “Grace”.In accordance with the burden of his message Peter chooses to bring before them king David and the covenant God made with…[Read more]

Hi Nick, What did Christ die for? Was it not for the sins of ALL mankind? God sees our sin no more, we have been justified by the death and resurrection of His son. What more can feeble man do? “Repent, baptize, fast, etc.”? Oh how we trample on this deed, just so we can claim how “WE…did.. it”. Shame.Blessings.

Hi TimothyVI, You are absolutely right that the greek word aion, has been mistranslated in many versions of the bible. The correct English translation is “eon”. An eon has a beginning and an ending, never meaning endless, or forever. Its nice to see someone with enough interest in scripture to research correct meaning of words in scripture,…[Read more]

Hi Nick, You have to “correctly cut the word of truth”, 2Tim.2:15. Matt.15:24 I was not commisioned except to “the lost sheep of the house of Isreal”.Ro. 15:8 …Jesus for the Circumcision.Ro.15:16 Paul for the nations. (Gentiles)You will never understand scripture unless you understand “who is speaking” and “to whom it is spoken to”.Blessings.
