Jesus was mercifull to all, Jew or Gentile. But this does not negate the fact that He was commissioned to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.

Jesus felt compassion for everyone, He would help anyone, Jew and Gentile, if asked. But this does not negate the fact that His commission was to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.
