Hi David, I think you have originated an interesting topic for a thread. In my opinion, if I may, I find a few scriptures that over the years I have come to believe are the most important in understanding Gods ways, and must not be compromised. The first is “All is of God” (Ro.11:36 …36 seeing that out of Him and through Him and for…[Read more]

The “gospel of the kingdom”, taught by Jesus. The “Gospel of the grace of God” evangelized by Paul.

Thus, to sum up, just as human existence is joined to the soil (for the human was formed of the soil before the spirit was imparted), and as spirit is the source of life, so the soul is the seat of sensation. And for human beings, sensation is impossible except where there is a material body vivified by a spirit. Sensation does not depend upon a…[Read more]

NH. How sad it is when ones understanding is clouded by not knowing how to “correctly cut the word of truth”.

Correctly Cutting the Word of Truth2 Timothy 2:15There is a good rule to follow for finding out what a text or a section or a chapter or a book means. It is attributed to both Miles Coverdale and John Wycliffe. It is worth knowing and should be copied into one's copy of the Bible for constant reference and for constant application to all studies…[Read more]

NH. When Eve ate the fruit of the tree of “the knowlegde of good and evil”, and gave it to Adam to eat also, when they were told by God that they must not, was this their “free will”? Think about it, it was Gods intention that they eat of it, it was 'predestined' for them to do so, it was predestined that Jesus would die for the sins of the…[Read more]

thethinker, Good point, that Gods truth was revealed progressively. Nick seems to think that no new truths have been revealed since he, Jesus, preached “the gospel of the kingdom”. He believes , in error, that Pauls epistles are just a repeat of the “kingdom” gospel, when in fact it is a new gospel, the gospel of “the grace of God”.…[Read more]

NH. The CORRECT explanation of Gal.1:6-8:6 Unlike Paul's other epistles, there is no note of thanksgiving or blessing in this opening strain. Corinth, with all its moral and doctrinal evil, did not fail to call this forth. But here, the defection is too serious. Instead, he marvels at the Galatians and hurls his anathema at those who are…[Read more]

Thanks “thethinker”, much appreciated. There are some that don't realise that Pauls epistles “completed” the word of God, (Col.1:25).
