NH. Pauls epistles were written to the believers, but for all to read. After all, many who don't believe, will do so by reading these scriptures. ALL Scripture is for us, even if it was written to the saints.Blessings.

NH. Also notice in the previous post, that this chapter also gives a good description of what “God is doing”. Dosn't say much as to “what part you play” in your salvation. Remember, …”context”.Blessings.

NH. You say “context”, yet you seem to have no understanding of what it means. Read the beginning of chapter one in the book of Ephesians, you will see to whom this epistle of Paul is written to. I'll include this chapter for you in case you can't find it in your bible.Chapter 11 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to all…[Read more]

Thanks Seeking and Gene for sharing your experiences that led you to believe that God is in complete control. I too, at onetime believed that I had to “do certain things” to be saved, until led by the spirit, by God, shown the truth. The scripture in Eph.2:10 …”His (God) achievement are we”, says it all! Blessings.

Seeking and Gene. How pleasant it is to have others that understand it is what “God is doing”, and not what “we must do”, for salvation. Eph.1:9-11 comes to mind that explains this. …9 making known to us the secret of His will (in accord with His delight, which He purposed in Him)10 to have an administration of the complement of the eras,…[Read more]

Seeking, Thank you, I personally prefer the “Concordant Version” of scripture. Looking at how it was translated, the methods used, I feel it to be the most accurate of any translation. Just my opinion.Blessings.

He Himself ALONE propitiated the Father's wrath. thinker In 1Tim.4:9-11 it says …9 Faithful is the saying and worthy of all welcome10 (for for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of…[Read more]

My opinion.God created His son 'Jesus”, He was…”Gods creative original” (Rev.3:14) and also…”Who is the Image of the invisible God, Firstborn of every creature” (Co.1:15). He (Jesus) was the first and only creation of God, ALL ELSE was created 'by Jesus', through the power of God… “for in Him (Jesus) is all created, that in the heavens…[Read more]

As was Saul? On the road to Damascus, Saul was changed, by God, to a deciple of His (God) from a persecuter of the church. I guess God makes a better robot than man!
