Again, you quote from Luke, given to the Jews while still under the “law”. Was Christs sacifice a NON-EVENT to you? “The flesh cannot please God”. You keep trying to do what Christ has already done for you, Do you think you can do it better? What pride of self you have, give it up, Christ has accomplished it for you. Accept what He has done,…[Read more]

Quote (Nick Hassan @ July 04 2007,07:34)Hi L, You say”If we break the law we are under the law.” Gentiles have never been under the Law given to the Jews. And as Rom 2 says” 12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; ” You must be born again. Then you are…[Read more]

My answer to the post I originated. Christ has died and was ressurrected by God the third day. What did He die for? Our sins of course! He was sinless, He took on the sins of the world, all humanity, you and I, and paid our penalty (the wages of sin is death) that we deserved. He suffered a very painfull, humiliating death. Scourged till…[Read more]

The correct translation of Matt.25:41 is: …Go from me, you cursed, into the fire eonian, made ready… Eonian is NOT everlasting.

Laurel, The Jews were Gods “chosen people”, under the “law”, given by God to Moses, and under the “Old Covenant”. The “nations” (gentiles) had no part with God, we were estranged from God, and were only offered “crumbs” off Israels table. They (the Jews), could not keep Gods covenant with them, and could not obey the law. When they rejected…[Read more]

All scripture you quote from Luke 24, is of course, to the Jews. Acts 17.30-31, 30 “Indeed, then, condoning the times of ignorance, God is now charging mankind that all everywhere are to repent, He was CONDONING thier ignorence, that is, their ignorence of the truth was being catered to. Read carefully, you will find the truth.

Hi Laurel. What did Jesus die for? He led a sinless life, but took on the sins of the world and payed our penalty (the wages of sin is death). We are concidered as dying with him, we have been “justified” by His death and resurrection, God sees our sins no more. We have ben “conciliated” to God. We are no longer under the “Law”, (we…[Read more]

Hi Laurel. Thank you for your opinion, it was well thought out, and you made some good points. You are right when you say that circumcision of the flesh was the shadow when circumcision would be of the heart. But circumcision (to be done on the eighth day after birth) was part of the law of Moses for the Jews. Jesus was circumcised, as were…[Read more]

I looked it up useing the “Inerlinear Scripture Analyser”. This gives the original greek (or hebrew if OT) words and correct sentence structure, I find it the most accurate translation. And also the correct sentence structure is very important, as some translations alter this, and it confuses the original meaning.

The scripture I quoted above your reply has no list of “requirements”, it is just scripture of God explaining those vivified and the order of same. It has nothing to do with any verses applying to anyone in particular. So I don't know what or who you are writing about.
chosenone replied to the topic Universal Salvation in the forum Scriptural Teachings 18 years, 8 months ago
Quote me the scripture and I'll give you the correct meaning.

What kind of “evidence” are you talking about?
chosenone replied to the topic Universal Salvation in the forum Scriptural Teachings 18 years, 8 months ago
Depends on to whom the scripture is written about, not all is ABOUT us, although all is FOR us.

Where did you find that in scripture? When God baptizes us with His holy spirit, He cannot be resisted! This is the “Grace” of God, who is the saviour of all mankind. (1Tim.4:9-11)
