NickHassan,
Well, I’m glad you don’t feel slighted.
I asked you to respectfully keep your judgments about me to yourself, because you’ve already stated them publicly several times. We get the message, and your work is done here. Enjoy your day! Have some fun! No need to repeat yourself. Thank you for your input.
I laid out my boundary…[Read more]

Lightenup,
Thanks for sharing your beliefs without belittling mine, and discussing rather than debating. I greatly appreciate that.
Thanks for bringing this up, because I clearly need to work on how I describe what meditation is. I see what I did that confused you, and that makes sense. My wording wasn’t very good. I’ll describe what I do.…[Read more]

In regard to Jesus and Buddha and Religion:
I have no problem with Buddha himself, but I don’t care for religion anymore. Buddha was extremely loving and kind. He was 300-500 years before Christ and he didn’t know the Hebrews since he was in Northern India. He probably knew the same Eastern practices as Abraham knew and practiced (research shows…[Read more]

Lightenup,
Thanks.
Yeah, I think most people misunderstand what meditation is for and how it is supposed to be done. They often associate it with Eastern religion and immediately think it’s evil. That’s simply a preconceived judgment made out of not knowing firsthand what it is or what it’s supposed to be. Most people from the East don’t know w…[Read more]

Ed,
I agree. I see it like this: If we’re stuck in our old ways, we’ll cause ourselves a lot of suffering. But if we turn to God and accept His help (for instance, what Jesus did for us), then He’ll walk with us through our pain so we can resolve/integrate it. As it gets integrated, we become much more peaceful and loving. Our hearts don’t have…[Read more]

NickHassan,
I need to apologize to you for anything I did that was unkind. This is a good incident for this topic, because I can show how my emotional signatures cause me to “react” (sin). And I can show how I can catch them and change my behaviors.
You were on my other threads, telling me I was incorrect in my beliefs, and that caused me upset.…[Read more]

When people die, they will eventually have to go through Jesus to get to heaven. They may end up in hell for a little while first, though. Jesus has the keys to hell, according to the Bible, because He both puts people in and takes them out. He doesn’t lock them away and say, “Sucks to be you! Too bad you didn’t choose me, suckers! Burn forever!”…[Read more]

Nick,
That’s your opinion and your view of who God is and how He acts. And no offense, but I want nothing to do with your god, because he’s a vengeful, fed-up god who cannot possibly have unconditional love for us. To be “fed up” is the very definition of conditional.
Any god who gets upset with people for doing a practice that makes them more…[Read more]

EdJ,
Jealousy is a product of anger and grief (sadness). I think something will make me happy by getting rid of this feeling of sadness, and I’m angry that someone else has it and I don’t. So, if I can get that object, it’ll get rid of the anger and sadness I’m feeling. I don’t want to feel those feelings, so I act out jealously to “feel better”…[Read more]

NickHassan,
Call it what you want, but it’s not actually religious. This method isn’t concerned with any religion. Anyone can do it to resolve their emotions dysfunctions. It simply opens the door to connecting with God if someone wants to step through it. In my opinion, religion gets in the way of connecting with God.
Also, if Jesus is God (or…[Read more]

I forgot to add that when parents do this, their kids affected. For instance, one 12 yr old girl was put in a mental institution by her mother because her behavior was so crazy after her parents divorced. The father was upset, so he took her out of the mental institution. The father goes through an intense 10-week Presence Process to process his…[Read more]

I’d like to share a method for seeking God on the relationship level. Most people, especially in forums, seek God intellectually through reading the Bible. They don’t realize that the Bible can only point them to some of God’s characteristics. It cannot create relationship. One must actively interact with God to be in relationship with Him and…[Read more]

NickHassan,
I never said all are saved. What I said is that some people will experience hell in order to break them of their resistance to God. But in the end, all will be purified, eventually, and be with God–even the demons.
Intellectual study has nothing to do with restoring a relationship with God. Absolutely nothing. The only benefit one…[Read more]

I forgot to add something regarding that Jeff Benner page I linked you to. On that page, you’ll see the Paleo Hebrew for the word Love, and you’ll get an explanation for their understanding of the word. On the left side of the page, you’ll see 35 other Ancient Hebrew words that you just click on to get their meanings in the center of the…[Read more]

EdJ,
I’m not interested in participating in the debate going on in this thread. I’ll post my input now, but this will be my only post.
Isaiah is a prophetic book, which means it’s Hebrew poetry. All Hebrew poetry is written in bifidic form and in chiasmic form. All prophetic books are like this. As a result, mainstream Christianity hasn’t a clue…[Read more]

Sure, I’d like to hear your input on dysfunctional emotions. And thank you for asking first. I’d do well to ask first, myself. That’s a good practice and one must be patient to do it. lol
Since I won’t be responding to this thread anymore, if you’d like to discuss emotions, I’ll send you a PM with my email address. That’s the best way to…[Read more]

Hi, EdJ.
1a) How can the translators know what the original writers intended?
Exactly. They can’t know what the original writers intended. This is all a huge guessing game. And that’s why the translators beliefs play such a huge role in how his translation comes out. The best a translator can do is learn as much about the old culture as…[Read more]

Brian.
You are contradicting yourself.
You say you are a Christian, meaning a believer in Christ.
But don’t believe in his Word, which also is the old and new testament.
Your faith in God is based on men’s wisdom, which is of the world.
You truly believe in your heart that God has not a way in conversing with his children through His word,…[Read more]
