    Terrarium,

I think you misunderstood what I was saying about the Bedouins. They aren’t more advanced than Jesus. The purpose they serve is to help us understand Abraham’s beliefs and understand translation better, both of which help us understand the Bible.

By Jesus’ time, the Jews had been in captivity of Western nations, so they had picked…[Read more]

Actually, when you look into the translation and history of hell, you’ll find that you’re missing some vital information.

First, you have to consider the Ancient Hebrews, which is where Judaeo-Christian beliefs source from. The Ancient Hebrews were Eastern philosophy. The entire world was Eastern philosophy prior to about the 6th Century B.C.…[Read more]

    T8,

You’re right. That’s the trap I always fall for–talking about anything people post. lol Gets me off topic easily.

The topic is about resolving emotional issues, how emotional issues function, how they drive our behaviors (sin), how they are dealt with, and how that gets us in touch with our child-of-God self.

But, I’m writing way too much…[Read more]

    Lightenup,

I thought I did say Jesus was God. If I didn’t, then I must have accidentally edited the sentence/explanation.

I’d like to share something with you. By the 1980s, psychologists had done lots of research studies on brainwashing. What they found is that 99% of the time, if a person had anxiety or anger come up when someone…[Read more]

    Camillia,

I hear you that those in the East speak a different language. I have followed Eastern Christianity quite a bit. However, when I hear the word “vibrational”, that to me is Kundalini/Hinduism – and I have not heard that word in Eastern Christianity.

Oh, I wasn’t talking about Eastern Christianity. I’m talking about Eastern philo…[Read more]

    Camillia,

Yes, so we learn through GOD how to not judge, how to be humble, how to love, and how to listen. We learn through our own mistakes, mainly, imo. It is good to hear that a book helped you see that, but God, through the Holy Spirit is our teacher, and we have no need for any others, though God may send a teacher…. so it pays to listen w…[Read more]

    EdJ,

Colter says that those who worship the Bible are
practicing book-fetish. Are you practicing book-fetish?

LOL That’s awesome. I totally agree. When I hear people say that relationship comes from the Bible alone, a part of me cringes inside. That’s worshipping knowledge and a book and the doctrines one has built around it. That’s not…[Read more]

    T8,

Far be it from me to put God in a box. I don’t know for sure how the whole Jesus & God thing works. I can see how Jesus could be part of God, and I can see how He might be a created person. I could also see how He might be a manifestation of God (still part of Him). I can see how He might have been calling God His Father, because He wasn’t…[Read more]

So, I am interested to know if you can, as Thomas did, say to Jesus, “My Lord and My God.”

Oh, of course. Jesus is Lord. He’s the Son of God. I may not be able to define the exact details of what He is, but as far as I can tell, He’s part of God and He’s King/Lord.

It would take an awful lot of proof to convince me that He’s not…[Read more]

    EdJ –

    Hi Brian,

I agree with a lot of what you say, but not this.

“Never say always and never” – Ed J

And you can quote me on it. :)

Yeah, that’s a fair statement. I almost typed it, “99% of the time, control comes from fear.” Good catch. 🙂

    EdJ,

(The following message isn’t directing this stuff at you as if you don’t know it or need to learn it. I’m strictly just sharing what I know and have experienced with this. You may know this stuff–I don’t know. I haven’t even read all of that post you posted about anger yet. I just saw that you said anger is “bad,” and immediately decided…[Read more]

    EdJ,

Oh, I think you misunderstood me. I didn’t say anger was wrong. I just said it was dysfunctional. There’s no judgment with that term. There’s nothing wrong with anger. “Wrong” is a judgment, and if we judge ourselves, we’ll deny our own emotions and not feel them. We’ll try to get rid of them instead of loving them so they’ll integrate.…[Read more]

    Camillia,

You bring up great points. I’ve studied a little into some of what you mentioned, so I have a little bit of information on it.

In my opinion, everything can be used for a functional, unconditionally-loving reason, or it can be used for a dysfunctional reason (which is usually a subconscious attempt to get unconditional love). This goes…[Read more]

    Lightenup,

Thanks. And I don’t necessarily think of Jesus as a created being. I’m sorry if any of my posts were misleading.

I lean toward Jesus being part of God, meaning He’s always been in existence. That’s why I capitalize His name. But honestly, I can’t say I know for sure, and I’m okay with that. If God chooses to show me for certain,…[Read more]

    Lightenup,

I suppose that’s one facet of it, Lightenup.

I look at my heart as a seven-year-old child, or younger, who needs to be loved unconditionally in order to mature properly. Since my parents didn’t know how to deal with their hearts, they couldn’t teach me how to do that. And they couldn’t practice unconditional love and authentic faith…[Read more]

    NickHassan,

Well, I’m glad you don’t feel slighted.

And the practice I am discussing here is all about surrender and laying aside the old self. So, thank you for backing up what I’m discussing here.

I asked you to respectfully keep your judgments about me to yourself, because you’ve already stated them publicly several times. We get the…[Read more]
