It's okay Nick. You don't have to answer if you do not wish to.

I don't think what the Apostle Paul talked about was 'irrelevant'.Paul went into this 'what if' scenario in detail, so I think it is very relevant. So I ask:If the dead are never raised — if the Resurrection Day never comes — what would happen to all those who have believed in Jesus christ?

Hi Nick,I think you mis-understood the question I was asking.

I agree 100% what Paul said. What does this verse have to do with what I posted regarding the Greeks?I guess you won't tell me whether or not you agree 100% with what I posted from Socrates, Simmias, and Cebes. Is what they said true?If you care not to answer I will drop the subject.

Hi Nick,Do you agree with what Socrates, Simmias, and Cebes stated?

Hi Nick,I can't find the Greek philospher's teaching anywhere in Scripture. I disagree with the doctrine the Greek philospher's taught 100%.True, truth is truth no matter who states it.My point is not that if a Greek teaches something, it is automatically error. My point is whether or not what I posted that the Greek philosphers were teaching was…[Read more]

All I am asking is whether or not one believes the above teaching of the Greek philosophers is 100% true, partially true, or 100% false.Just curious if you believe 100% what I posted from the Greek philosophers.

Matthew 10:2828Don't be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. In Revelation we hear of the 'Second Death', which is all about the final destruction of unrepentant sinners, after which there is no hope for restoration. The Second Death is permanent…[Read more]

So you think the Bible is unclear as to what 'death' means? You think the Bible is 'unclear' as to what the punishment — the wages — the penalty — for sin is?Has God been so unclear as to how he punishes sin and sinners? Is the penalty a mystery? The punishment for sin is taught from the beginning of Genesis all the way through to the end of…[Read more]

What does 'death' mean according to Scripture?

Revelation 20:12-1512I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in…[Read more]

Hi Nick,The Apostle Paul tells us in I Corinthians 15:24-25:24Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 26The last enemy that…[Read more]

Hi Nick,True 'death' is death you never come back from — death you are never resurrected from. The death at the Judgment will destroy the very 'life' of a man forever. Jesus saves us from the Second Death — those who believe in Him.Jesus died, so we may live. The first death would be 'death' if there were no resurrection. But there is a…[Read more]

Here is the Gospel of the Apostle Paul:2 Timothy 1:8-11″Don't be ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me, his prisoner; but suffer hardship with the gospel according to the power of God, who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us…[Read more]

Exactly. What does it say the punishment for sin is?From the beginning of Genesis, to the end of Revelation, Scripture teaches us PRECISELY what the punishment for sin is.Jesus Christ was put to death, because the punishment for sin is death.
