    @Berean,

    Nothing in your reply have you proved or explained anything; pointy fingers, pointing at existing words, does not offer proof or an explanation to what the words are trying to convey. Am I suppose to translate pointy fingers to mean Jesus? Explain how these verses in Isa 42:1-4 (first “servant song”) ARE a reference to Jes…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    You still cannot ignore the fact that what Jesus compared himself to was destroyed because it was made into an idle. So for you it is just the “pole” that matters.

    HOWEVER!!!! You have failed to respond to what I said to you concerning Acts 8. What is your response to the blatant manipulation of the OT? This only one example, I can give…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    I would recommend what you do is compare the Acts 8:32-33 passage to the OT passage in Isa 53:7-8 and tell me they’re the same. The Acts passage has been modified. Seems a bit naughty to change what Isaiah relayed from God.

    Isa 8 “By oppression and judgment He was taken away;”

    Acts 33 “In humiliation His judgment was taken away;…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    We can go off on another tangent with Isa 49:1-6 (the second Servant Song); however, we still haven’t finished with who is speaking in Isa 52:13-53:12. It’s as if everyone keeps dodging the question; let’s focus like a laser beam on this ONE topic so we can move on.

    @Berean

    You don’t read the end of the book, you start at the beginning, and to understand this “ending” one must understand the “beginning.” All must be put into context. Who is speaking where in this “song”? Once we have this established we will move on.

    Also, who is the “servant” spoken of starting in chapter 41? If you are unsure, please…[Read more]

    You aren’t listening to my words; nowhere have I implied Israel died for anyone’s sins. Go back to some previous posts and re-read. You and Berean are trying to merge two separate ideas – what I am reading in this passage and what you believe the passages states.

    You still haven’t told me who you believe is speaking in the follo…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    I wasn’t asking about your personal experience; I am talking about the general state of the church today and the conversion process used. Here is what’s written on two separate “christian” tracks picked up in the last year:

    Written on a fake “trillion dollar bill”, “The trillion dollar question: will you go to heaven when you die? Here…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    No one has provided a single passage that states what Paul said in I Cor 15. Every passage given as “proof” has either been read between the lines or taken out of context. Therefore nothing given! Truth isn’t what you believe or want it to be, truths are cold, hard facts. Paul made the claim, now where are the facts?

    Isa 53 has been…[Read more]

    It is therefore God by Christ who will give immortality on the day of resurrection for the dead in Christ and the living who will be standing at Christ’s return.

    A great verse on the subject @berean. Thanks.

    @Berean,

    You are quoting Isa 53 AGAIN, I have shown it isn’t a reference to Jesus and canNOT be a reference to him.

    “he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”

    Jesus didn’t have children, his days where kind of short, how did the “pleasure of the Lord prosper in his hand”?

    “by his…[Read more]

    Apparently I am not suppose to be speaking on this topic, because neither of you are grasping what I am asking. I asked my youngest child the same question I asked you Berean at the beginning and they picked up immediately the point I was going to make and I am extremely careful what I say to them at this point.

    @Berean,

    If you have heard of Jesus and you accept him where do you end up? If you have heard of Jesus and you reject him where do you go? Is that better!

    Explain in a single sentence why you would choose one scenario over the other?

    @Berean,

    I would love to hear an explanation from you concerning Col 1:16,17…but I won’t hold my breath.

    How about a response to the law being written on the Gentile heart and not going to hell. Is that what you understand and believe because it’s scripturally sound or you believe it because this is what you were told? Your statement doesn’t…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    YOU: It is God’s purpose, to write his law in hearts. And so Gentiles with the law of God written in their hearts will not go to hell.

    ME: If the law is written on our hearts and we will be judge accordingly, our salvation (either children of God or condemned) is hinged on how we uphold the law?!? If that’s the case, there is no point i…[Read more]

    @Berean,
    You respond with NO! If we don’t need Jesus, what is the point of christianity?
    Explain John 3:16; sounds to me with Jesus – heaven (eternal life), without – hell (perish).
    Are you intentionally being obstinate? There is a point to my question, just answer it!

  • Profile picture of DesireTruth

    @Berean,

    For brevity sake let me help you along; is it safe to say, with Jesus you go to heaven and without Jesus you go to hell?

  • Profile picture of DesireTruth

    @Berean,

    You’re trying to make it “spiritual” and are missing it. Go basic, like you’re telling a child; without this, you receive this.

    @Berean,

    If you don’t keep the commands or the faith, then what?

  • Profile picture of DesireTruth

    @Berean,

    Let me rephrase the question, what is modern “christianity” truly based on?

  • Profile picture of DesireTruth

    @Berean,

    You are picking and choosing verses or parts of verses to support your religion. It’s like reading every other paragraph or starting in the middle of a book. You cannot possible hope to understand the story. We cannot use a “copy/paste” theology to understand what scripture is telling us! Thus your focus on a single part of a verse and s…[Read more]
