If Stephen prayed to Jesus just before giving up the ghost(Acts 7:59,60) it is because Jesus hears the prayers, and if He hears the prayers, it is because He is GOD.

Can you explain why if Jesus had to be a pre-existing being in order to save us why then would he say that he could do nothing of himself where he gave ALL CREDIT to the Father?
