“egghead theologians” hahah, thats a new one. You're right Nick, they really do risk the millstone around their neck. I tell ya brotha its really really sad. But i don't think either will have an excuse on that day. The word is true and crystal clear.take care

I agree Nickas someone who studied the Oneness doctrine for about 6 months now, i can surely say that it doesn't hold water. How can Jesus be God when the gospels testify that Jesus was tempted by satan. James 1:13 says that God cannot be temped nor does he tempt others. How can Jesus be God when God forsaked Jesus on the cross. The gospels…[Read more]

“Anyone who wants to save his own life will lose it and anyone who loses his life for my sake will save it” now look at the end of this passage. Notice Jesus says anyone who loses his life for MY sake will save it. Now 11 of the apostle's and many of our first century bretheren sealed their faith with their blood. This is how they glorified God.…[Read more]

OkBut we got to look at what it means to “live by the sword”. A person who lives by the sword or gun in our age, is someone who looks to that sword or gun to solve every conflict. A person in the military or police force doesn't live by the sword or gun. There are many times such individuals solve problems without drawing their weapons. But in a…[Read more]

Just curious to get everyone's view on Christian self defense. especially with respect to guns. As christians can we own them? can we carry them for self defense in our ever increasing violent world? or is this a lack of faith? Would appreciate any response.

Hi nick,i guess the problem i'm having with Rev 1:8 is that in my bibles, a NKJ, an a NIV with words of Christ in red, the passage itself is in red letters. Now are you saying that God was simply speaking through Jesus? if so this makes alot of since.

Speaking of doctrine, can anyone in here address a few scriptures. Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-3, Revelation 1:8. These are commonly used by those that say that Jesus is God.

IS 18 i would agree with your response. None of us had a complete understanding of Sound doctrine upon our first encounter with God. It develops over time by feeding on the word of God. But some of us have been at this for 20+ years and are still on milk and not solid food. They should have matured by now. Sound doctrine is very important, 1…[Read more]

excellent Nick, i agree 100%. I've just heard alot of people define Repent as cleaning yourself up, or “I'm sorry God”. neither one of these is biblical repentance. Thanks for your response Nick

I would also like feedback on others definition of Repent. I've heard some people say that the Spirit can't live in you if there is unrepentent sin. Some define repent as cleaning yourself up. this is hogwash, you can't possibly clean yourself up. Apart from Christ all you have is the sinful nature. and all the sinful nature can do is sin. It…[Read more]

in no way shape or form am i saying that i am superb in doctrine. What I am saying is that if this “experience” that we are seeing in churches all across denominational boundaries is of God, then darnit there should be some progress towards unity, and oneness. But instead all i see is the same thing. quarreling and bickering. People still fighting…[Read more]

Mr. Hassan you are a gentlemen and a scholar. I appreciate your speedy responses. But what i'm saying in regards to the tongues is that i believe there is a counterfeit out there. for everyreal thing there is always a counterfeit. My wife and i both repented (repent meaning turning away from our wicked ways and realizing that there is nothing good in us) and have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, both put our faith in him for the remission of sins, not the act of baptism, and neither one of us have recieved the Holy Spirit. but we both know people who are doing…[Read more]

Ok I would like some insight on the tongues of manifestation. Oneness pentecostals believe that tongues is the intial evidence of the recieving of the Holy Spirit. It is hard to prove them wrong from scripture. But in every passage of Acts that indicated a person or persons spoke in a tongue after recieving the Holy Spirit there was always a few…[Read more]

I got another question for ya brother Nick, how do you deal with umm, let's say a co-worker who's going around preaching another gospel. I have a co-worker whom i've heard tell people all they have to do is accept Jesus as their personal savior (Sinners Prayer) and they are saved. He mentions nothing about repentance, baptism, or enduring to the…[Read more]

Do you currently attend a congregation? And when you say that you were born of the Spirit, was there a manifestation as in tongues? like i said i've just broke away from the United Pentecoastal church, and their view was that those who are born of the spirit will have the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. I examined the scriptures and found…[Read more]

what kind of a background do you have Nick? I came from the church of christ background. I left there because of the Trinitarian teaching. I was recently studying with the United Pentecostal Church.
