Hey worshippingJesus,I do not believe in the trinity doctrine mainly because of the belief that all three are co-equal.Jesus talked himself hoarse telling everyone that his Father was greater than He.I am vey happy to see you back though. 1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. Why do you suppose that Timothy said “ALL MEN, SPECIALLY OF THOSE THAT BELIEVE”?Doesn't the “specially” indicate that they were included with the all, and that the rest are not excluded.I…[Read more]

Quote (seekingtruth @ Feb. 17 2007,21:02)Timothy,I believe the problem arises from equating killing with murder. What is murder for an individual, is the God ordained justice system for society. O.K. I wanted to wait a minute to see if I got struck with lightning or something.Don't get me wrong. I am only trying to see why there is such a huge gulf betweenthe God of the New Ttestament, Jesus, and the God of the old testament.Perhaps I will never get my question answered until I can talk to Jesus face to face.Tim

David,Thank you for taking the time to give me a more thorough answer to my question.Up until the last line, your answer was very helpful. Hi Nick,Parables are truth, however the objects in parables are often something other than what they appear to be,as I have shown many times. You said, “Hades is only a remand centre, not the lake of fire.”So you believe that this true story tells us that the rich man was being made to suffer in flames and torment in this remand center, for the…[Read more]

Good point Nick. God and angels and spirit can not be explained by the laws of physics. However they can be understood by logic. If we are to believe that the word is truth. Then it is not logical for anything to be contrary to the truth. When we insist that this is a literal story, we place a huge blotch on the character of God! According to the…[Read more]

Your interpretation is a good and popular interpretation of this parable Nick. But since in every other parable, the recognizable objects in the parable represent something completelydifferent than what they are in reality, why do you think that the rich man and Lazarus would really be a rich man and a poor beggar in this parable? Why in this one…[Read more]
