Hi Nick,Yes. The words of Truth. Straight from the Bible. Jesus is my God. The Spirit is the Lord.Tim

Nick,I left out some. Acts 10:36. Revelation 17:14 and 19:16 compared with 1 Timothy 6:5, Deuteronomy 10:17, and Psalm 136:3.Exceptions? I'd say you're making a pretty big exception to John 20:28 if Jesus isn't your God.Tim

Hi Nick,I agree, no original thought. Just the words of the Bible. Isn't that what you want?Tim

Hi Nick,It is sad if you won't listen to the words of Thomas and confess that Jesus is your God.Tim

Hi Nick,The Father is God. You agree to that I see.Jesus is God. The Bible says it. Apparently not enough times for you. Sorry, I can't help you there. The Holy Spirit is God. You agree to that, but think He's just a manifestation, not a person. Well a parakletos is a person, so please reconsider. I also don't know of any manifestations that…[Read more]

Hi Nick,The Trinity doctrine merely restates what is found in the Bible. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God. They are not three gods, but one God. Why do you deny what is explicitly in the Bible?Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic Mat 28:19 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 17 years, 7 months ago
Hi Nick,Jesus is called God because He is God. Calling someone God who isn't God is blasphemy. Are you accusing Thomas of blasphemy? I agree. The Father is our God. This is what the doctrine of the Trinity holds. Why don't you start arguing with what we're actually saying.Tim

Nick,So you reject Thomas? Then you reject Jesus. Luke 10:16.Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic The Holy Spirit, a separate person, essence of God, or force? in the forum Truth or Tradition 17 years, 7 months ago
Hi Nick,Everything I said is straight out of Scripture. Jesus is God. John 20:28. Why don't you follow this Scripture?Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic Mat 28:19 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 17 years, 7 months ago
WJ,I agree. In the New Testament proskunein is used exclusively for Yeshua and YHWH. Thank you for faithfully proclaiming the truth. May God give everyone in this forum grace to understand Him and worship Him in spirit and truth.Tim

Quote (Nick Hassan @ April 04 2007,22:55)Hi Tim 2, So Christ is two beings. One has a God and one is God. Right!!No Nick,Jesus has two natures. He's called God. He's called man. He's one person. Jesus did not assert His equality with God but emptied Himself and took the form of a servant. So, in the form of a servant, He calls His Father His…[Read more]

Hi Nick,Do you follow Thomas? Jesus told his disciples, “The one who rejects you rejects Me.” Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic Mat 28:19 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 17 years, 7 months ago
Hi Nick,”Does God have a God?” Yes call the Father His God because Jesus is not only God but also man. Hence, having the nature of a man, Jesus is inferior to the Father in that respect, as the Athanasian creed says, and as Paul says in Philippians 2, and hence it is proper for Jesus to call the Father His God.Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic Mat 28:19 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 17 years, 7 months ago
Hi Nick,Well, its explicit from that chapter that two persons are called God. The Father is called God, as you point out. And Jesus is called God. The Holy Spirit is later called God in Acts 5:4. So the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are God. Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic Exodus 34:14 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 17 years, 7 months ago
Hi Nick,You're right, it is a matter of fact. It's also a matter of fact that Jesus is God. John 20:28. Christ should be your God if you belong to God.Tim
Tim2 replied to the topic The Holy Spirit, a separate person, essence of God, or force? in the forum Truth or Tradition 17 years, 7 months ago
Hi Nick,”The Spirit of God is a manifestation of God.” So now you're a modalist? So no one knows the thoughts of God except a manifesation of God? I don't know why blasphemy against the Spirit is more serious than against the Son of Man. But it sure makes me fear the Spirit. And I know there's only one whom I should fear. Tim
