But in all honesty, using someone elses blood is wrong, it is their life's essence.
SevenaFebruary 14, 2008 at 2:56 pm#81439SevenaParticipantSome versions of the bible say he is not god.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with Hod, and the word was a God.
SevenaFebruary 14, 2008 at 2:50 pm#81655SevenaParticipantI think that really there is no point of getting a blood transfusion if there are perfectly good blood substitutes out there.
SevenaJanuary 26, 2008 at 7:02 am#80153SevenaParticipantI prefer the NWT….
January 26, 2008 at 6:59 am#80152SevenaParticipantI believe that we should listen to Acts 21:25 in any translation it says to “abstain from BLOOD….”

They use the bible but not wisely. Without finding support verses they build doctrines by superficial understanding of one verse and thus wander far from truth.Rich man and lazarus, meet nick. Pot, meet kettle.
David to me in the end it is all words. just words. To let your child die because “MAYBE” a blood transfusion could be related to a diet restriction is not good.
I mean that it is bad.
It's the same as letting a man lay wounded in a ditch and not helping him because it is the sabbath.
What is true good, true light and true love?
That is God!
And one passage in acts that wasn't even written by actual disciples of christ but by reconstructionists should not lead you to let your child die.
But even if it does not mean anything about blood transfusions, which I think it does, as God is an all knowing God and knows what will happen to his children, Think about the possible effects of a blood transfusion. You COULD get any number of blood transfered diseases through blood that is not tested properlu.Sevena
January 25, 2008 at 6:04 pm#80136SevenaParticipantI use NIV, Old KJV, New KJV, some MACARTHUR, and NWT.

January 25, 2008 at 6:14 am#81619SevenaParticipantAlso, a JW saved my life
January 25, 2008 at 6:13 am#81618SevenaParticipantActs 21:25 NWT- “As for the believers from among the nations, we have sent out, rendering our decision that they should keep themselves from what is sacrificed to idols, as well as from BLOOD, and what is strangled, and from fornication”

January 25, 2008 at 6:00 am#80113SevenaParticipantI personally believe His Name to be Jehovah. It says in Psalm 83:18 Old KJV
“and the name of the Lord is Jehovah, you alone are most Holy over all the earth”
Or something to that effect…Sevena
January 25, 2008 at 5:56 am#80111SevenaParticipantDid you know… That Jehovah's Witnesses use the Old Testament (Hebrew-Aramaic Scriptures), as much as they use the New Testiment (Christian-Greek Scriptures)
Sevena
January 25, 2008 at 5:54 am#80110SevenaParticipantI use as many Bibles as necessary to find the truth in God's Word.
January 25, 2008 at 5:39 am#80109SevenaParticipantI know I am just studying different religions and that was the only bible on hand.
Sevena
January 25, 2008 at 5:35 am#80107SevenaParticipant? The NWT Says
John 1:1 In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word was a God
2. This one was in the beginning with God.Sevena
January 25, 2008 at 5:30 am#80106SevenaParticipantWell, according to My Bible study teachers, and my Bible teach book, They use the original Greek texts in their translations. Hence the Hebrew-Aramaic and Christian-Greek Scriptures.
January 25, 2008 at 5:27 am#80105SevenaParticipantWell Now I know that I'm not the only one who reads the WatchTower
January 25, 2008 at 5:19 am#80102SevenaParticipantWell I stick to what I said. about the NWT
January 25, 2008 at 5:17 am#80100SevenaParticipantJohn 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the father except through me.'” NIV
January 25, 2008 at 5:15 am#80098SevenaParticipantQuite personally I read the WatchTower. And Besides. There is no place where in the Bible that says that Jehovah, Jesus, and the holy spirit are one.
If you can prove me wrong please do so.Sevena
January 25, 2008 at 5:11 am#80097SevenaParticipantI Agree with David. According to the NWT Jesus was Crucified on a stake, or upright pole.
