Tabernacles is a real death EXPERIENCE. I can look back and remember the day that I gave my life to the Lord and was born again. That was an event.I can also remember the day that the Holy Spirit came upon me and I spoke in tongues for the first time. That was an event.I can also remember when the Lord came to me and asked me to surrender all to…[Read more]

typ, the Passover was the avoidance of death by those who were saved. The angel of death “passed over them”

Quote (typrsn @ Aug. 18 2006,20:23)Quote (Oxy @ Aug. 18 2006,06:59)I am interested in knowing how others see the three feasts, Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. In particular I am interested in the Feast of Tabernacles. We know.. oops, that's a brave statement in this forum lol. I see the Feast of Passover symbolising our repentance and…[Read more]

I'm going to get in trouble here lol. My personal thought, based on some Scripture that I've read, some things a prophetess once told me and sort of a feeling ( I've told you already I'm no theologian lol), is that those Christians who are prepared to go through the Feast of Tabernacles (death to self and consequential ressurection) will not have…[Read more]

K typ, simply put..The Feast of Passover remembers the time Israel left Egypt. It is symbolic of repentance. The Feast of Pentecost is symbolic of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. The Feast of Tabernacles remembers the time spent in tents in the Wilderness. It seperates the time spent in the Wilderness from the entering of the Promised Land. The…[Read more]

Nick, tell me, can God be seperated from His Promise?

Yeah well we know God has always been in Heaven, so what's your point? It's not MY fault the Bible talks of the Father, the Son AND the Holy Spirit. I'm innocent, honest!

Far out t8, that is so far removed from what I believe that it's not funny. You see, I was never taught that church stuff. I was a criminal, drug dependant, occult practising, aggressive social misfit when I met the Lord. I've changed a tad from then
So there is no traditional teaching going on here. In fact, a lot of the things God has…[Read more]Oxy replied to the topic Tradition in the forum Truth or Tradition 19 years, 7 months ago

Hi NickI've had quite a few experiences where God has told me to do something. There was one time when I was hitch hiking, He asked me if I saw the house on the hill “over there”. I said yes Lord. He told me to go and knock on the door. Initially I was afraid and walked past their gate. He spoke to me quite sternly then. He said “Les, if you…[Read more]

Nick, how do you explain the times when the Lord tells you to do something that is not in Scripture?

Quote (david @ Aug. 18 2006,03:29)Hi Oxy. How are you?I have yet to find the phrase “immortal soul” in my Bible. I do find at least a dozen places that speak of souls “dieing,” being “destroyed,” being “killed,” etc.Adam “the man came to BE a living soul.” (The Bible, Gen 2:7)So it seems that Adam WAS a soul. And we know that Adam died. So it…[Read more]

Hi t8, since I've been on this site I've realised that some people's definition of trinity is diferent from others. To me trinity is simply a word meaning 3. It identifies that God is 3, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three seperate identities, but one God.I am not under the Catholic influence. I gave any traditional church thinking away when I…[Read more]

Hi Nick,If the Holy Spirit is God the Father, why does the Bible identify Him seperately? And Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. Why does Jesus call the Holy Spirit He?And if the Holy Spirit…[Read more]

Nick, the Word of God IS Jesus, according to Scripture. It is unusual, in my experience, for God to teach me something without taking me into Scripture. On the other hand, He has told me to do a number of things that He hasn't shown me in Scripture. I mean, if God could only tell you something that was written, how was it ever heard to start…[Read more]

The soul is immortal. It was never destined to die, but to live in the very presence of God for eternity. Of course, if you reject Jesus you don't get to spend your eternity in Heaven. Eternity in the other place will be a hell of a long time, scuse the simile.
