Jesus is the result of both parents. He is a combination of both God and Mary; he is a legitimate son (just as we are legitimate children of our parents). Jesus, therefore; is a new individual – never before existed until he was born (for how could he? He is a combination of both parents).

Because you want to separate “flesh” as being only skin and bones. We have come to realize that you cannot do that. “Partaking” of “flesh” then has come to mean having also a spirit within your flesh to make you alive. And if that spirit is given during conception, then it is given by BOTH parents.

It goes back to my first question: “how” was the Word “with” God. I believe the bible lends itself to my theory as much as it lends itself to yours. That's all I'm saying, really. And how would the rest of what we see in scripture change if we were to entertain one another's view?

No, my point is that the Word was not yet realized and therefore not a person God could love (before he was born.)If it is written that there is a spirit son who was the Word, whom God loved before his birth, please show me where it is written.

The Word was WITH GOD in the beginning.***************Not as a reality, though.

This is exactly my thrust here on the topic. Conception includes the weaving together of *everything* not limited to flesh only; but to include spirit as well.And if spirit as well, then lets consider how this changes the idea of a pre-existent Jesus OR an incarnation.

Ha……..funny you should ask this question. My husband was telling me this morning how much I remind him of my Dad. My Dad was easy-going and had a variety of other personality traits that I possess. I look like my Mom, but was given a lot of my Dad's personality traits (thank God – ha).

A plan is already expressed as well, but does not become a reality (or flesh) until it is executed (or birthed).
