Acts 2 goes on to say that ….those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.If water baptism is only symbolic – that is some pretty serious symbolism dude.

Yes, Nick you have a point.Also water baptism is following the Lord in his death and resurrection, symbolically now but literally later. Being baptized with the Holy Spirit does not symbolize this important step. Something to think about maybe?
