The difference is you have put your faith in the teachings of men who say the Christ is also God, equal with the Father, yet different

I understand you see the Father and Son are different, yet one God.

Even God the Father calls Him “God” and identifies Him as Jehovah

Yes He does but dont gloss over the fact that a couple lines fur…[Read more]

I believe satan is happy with Christians who are ranting about how it has pagan origins and we shouldn’t celebrate it. Too bad, really!

And I believe Satan is EVEN HAPPIER with Christians who are not caring that it has pagan origins and choose to celebrate it anyway. Too bad, really!

    @Lightenup,

    I used the NASB.
The phrase “who is in the bosom of the Father” seems to indicate a position of intimacy but I am not sure.

I agree.  Some take it to mean literally inside of God’s bosom.

The NASB is based on the Alexandria text type and that has a connection to Egypt.  Egypt itself has the culture I spoke of.

Can you please include the scripture that states that “God the Father is the Father of the only begotten God who is the Son”? Because I do not remember ever reading any verse in scripture that actually says that.

    Thanks! 🙂

Also Kathi’s view that there are two eternal beings who are God. This binity is called YHWH according to her. She speaks with a strange tongue and different to Paul for example who taught that for us there is one God the Father. I realise that by her own admission she is not one of us. Can you please show me in scripture where the Body of Christ is referred to as New Jerusalem/Holy Jerusalem. Would like to see the scriptures that have lead you to this conclusion.

There is scripture that refer to us as His Brothers. If we were His Wife then why does scripture fail to actually say we are His Wife? When scripture makes…[Read more]

How exactly do you think that we are going to attend the wedding feast as invited guests and ALSO be the bride? How do you, personally, explain that phenomenon?

Just curious, are you at all acknowledging that in Revelation, John was shown the Bride by the Angel…and that Bride was Holy Jerusalem? Are you disregarding that scripture?…[Read more]

Would you be interested in a super debate.

It would include those who believe God is one, and two, and up to five.

We could be in teams. I would be in the Number 1 team. And you would likely be the sole inhabitant of Number 2 team, The Pope, Spock, & WJ and co in Number 3, Carmel in Number 4, and EdJ in Number 5.

Your view that two are called Jehovah is your doctrine. I’ll stick to believing as scripture teaches, that for us, there is one God the Father and that eternal life is to know the only true God and his son.

Not going to be talked out of it. Wouldn’t even take a cash bribe. No chance.

Can anyone help me find where the church shares the same glory, the same honor, the same dominion for ever and ever as that which the Father and Son do? Very weak argument @Lightenup

Yes the stone is Christ in 1 Peter. And yes it says something similar in Isaiah 8. But did it not occur to you that any description of God would also be true of the servant by which he brings it to fruition. This is basic knowledge and easily seen in many other scripture.
