I do more reading than posting, so don't really have an opinion. Just wanted to let you know that I drift in.
December 26, 2008 at 2:10 pm#115785HarmonyParticipantWow, it's been a while since I last was here!
Had a lightning strike that took out my computer last June, and am still not back up to par on all things computer-wise.
Married 33 years, 2 kids, and 3 grandkids. Have 8 parrots, 5 are rescue/rehomes and 3 dogs, shelties. It's never really quiet here!
I now make and sell jewelry between house cleaning and critters… a friend is setting up a web site for me…. still a lot to learn!
Glad I found my way back here!!December 13, 2007 at 2:04 pm#74749HarmonyParticipantSorry for the delay in replying. Computer problems. I'm still trying to get stuff transferred over to the lap top.
Yes,They are Christian.
Some people have sent monetary gifts, I'll be sitting down with Holly, his mom, and writing payments out to specific places. A company is giving them help with rent, and the church is helping with utilities. A food pantry has helped as well. The family has been 'adopted' by a couple different companies, and I'm going north today (10 hour drive) to collect and bring back gifts that have been brought to Mary's house for them. Hubby will be following me back with his pick-up and anything that won't fit in the van with the birds and dogs. Between us, we should be able to get everything here. Prayers that the Lord protect us from all harm would be appreciated.
There is so much good that has come, even in the face of adversity from this. People praying in one accord, lifting the family, lifting friends… I get teary eyed just thinking about it. Thanking God for putting people in place that can help, that are willing to help, but most of all the prayers. The drawing together of hearts and minds.
We can help with the physical needs, but the prayers are a blessing that there can be no equal for. When we open our hearts and our minds to help another, there are blessing that the Lord pours down.Thank you all.
Be blessed as you have blessed me and those around us.

July 18, 2007 at 10:33 pm#60582HarmonyParticipantKejonn, Wikipedia was my first stop too. Spent several hours in there. Even went into looking at the Jewish numbers and the relationship to 'modern' numerology.
Interesting correlations, but I guess I just don't see how a 'prophet' can profess to be Christian, and base his 'prophetic ability' on numerology…… In my mind that would fall under where we are not to associate, or have business with soothsayers, witches, or others of the 'black arts'.July 17, 2007 at 11:53 pm#60379HarmonyParticipantno clues?
July 1, 2007 at 7:50 pm#74639HarmonyParticipantJust took a quick look at the site….

May 2, 2007 at 1:10 am#51195HarmonyParticipantQuote (david @ May 01 2007,14:20) There's also an “about pharma online” post. Quote The only time you are taken to the last post is when you click on the links in the “Last Post Info” column. I usually go there as I would assume most regular members do get the latest. I have no idea where this is. “the last posts info” column.
I always go to “new posts” and then I open a post and it sets me on the first page of that post. What I'm asking is, is there a way for it to take me automatically to the last page or if it is worth it for you to make it so that we're taken to the last page automatically instead of the first page.

April 26, 2007 at 12:55 am#50584HarmonyParticipantI have a NWT, there are differences, but that's ok. Even went to JW for a while. Also studied the book of Mormon, and attended that church.
Have King James, Have the Catholic bible. What I use most is the NIV.
We each have to pray to the Lord for His Holy Spirit to teach us, and then read, study, and pray.
We all have differences in our religions, but we all have similarities in our faith.
Be blessed.
HarmonyApril 11, 2007 at 10:50 pm#48627HarmonyParticipantJust something to ponder…..
Since Enoch's writings were considered appocrophia…. could he not be predicting the destruction of the sinners with the floods?April 10, 2007 at 9:45 pm#48387HarmonyParticipantIt would be nice if all would heed this call and come out, but thank God for those who will.
amen.
April 10, 2007 at 2:04 pm#48307HarmonyParticipantGood subject!
I get this mental picture of a 'church' with a giant bobble-head standing at a pulpet…. the 'congregation' smaller bobble-heads…. and a single person at the back of the church, head lowered and weeping…. then turning around and walking away….
It's really a rather sad thought. Those that want to fit in, taking the word, repeating it, but not forming opinions of their own…. Not getting the meat, only the milk.April 10, 2007 at 1:53 pm#48306HarmonyParticipantRemember reading that the priests that were gathered in Constantine's reign had thought that Enoch's visions were too “wild” that the book of Revelation was more in keeping with final judgement…. more easily understood….
Also remember reading that the priests really didn't think there was a place for it… That it 'certainly' couldn't be put in the OT, where it belonged and it couldn't go into the NT with Revelation, hence the exclusion.
Through years, I've met many that say if a book wasn't included in the bible then we have no business even reading them, let alone mentioning the names.
Of course I think that's a bunch of bunk…. If the Lord hadn't meant for us to know, these books and their translations wouldn't have survived.
Just my opinion.February 21, 2007 at 3:20 pm#325590HarmonyParticipantI'm finding this whole discussion fascinating!

I know I have tried this before but could we get together say once a week and pray. Pray that the Holy Spirit give us guidance and understanding.I could pray at any time. If it's say 9pm for Nick and 3am for me I would have no problem being up to pray just so we would pray together.
Lets be one as Jesus prayed we would be!

I'm central time, would need to know what time zones, and have some restrictions on length of time sitting… But I would be interested.Blessings.

Just an observation…….. sounds like you are trying to talk yourself out of staying and perhaps broadening your horizons.
I also get a feeling that you are not what you portray yourself to be.
Why?December 15, 2006 at 3:49 pm#34444HarmonyParticipantQuote (kenrch @ Dec. 15 2006,14:34) Where is the book of Enoch? I can't find it in the bible
It was one of the books that was not included in our “standard” bible… some say because it was controversal, others because it was so much like Revelation… And because it was written before Christ was born, it didn't have a place in the OT……Personally, I think that it should be in there bacause it backs up Revelation…. but that's me….
