Clarification: Islam says Jesus came but as a prophet.Trinity says Jesus came but as the Almighty God though he was still the son.Is there a difference here with regards to John 3:16f and does it matter on to salvation?

Hi Trett & Nick:Acceptance and forgiveness can go hand in hand.Also this forgiveness/acceptance is more b/n brother to brother…not so much b/n God and man.I don't see the connection as much with the preaching of the gospel but perhaps in time.

If one were to believe that God is a trinity, then one has to consider that based on Luke 1:31f, Jesus should call TWO persons “Father” or at least call the Holy Spirit “father.”But he doesn't do any of that. He calls the Father whose spirit it is, Father. Which is entirely logical and what the scriptures say.
