matthew 19:17, “'Why do you ask me about what is good?' Jesus replied. 'There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.'”john 16:22-24, “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. 1 peter 5:8, “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.””In this verse, “devil” is diabolos in the Greek, and signifies “false accuser,” and the word “adversary” is antidikos, meaning “an opponent at law.” The “opponent at law,” a “false accuser” of the Christians was not a…[Read more]

if there's a historical reason for this… if you think the crusades weren't all good. if you think the europeans conquering and making into slaves other people weren't all good…. take a look at the historical perspective as to why the titles such as “God” were used.

in other words, in history for the process of assimilation, the europeans converted and conquered other people by allowing them to use whatever word they wanted for our heavenly Father.if you think this is ok…

if the above is true, then they deliberately let the people use their titles to bring them under christianity. that's bogus to do that. whether it was “deus” “theos” “adonai”

i feel like killing them. “Secondly, by calling all the deities of the nations only by a title, it was very easy to assimilate them all, identifying all of them with the one deity, whichever you wish to identify them with. This is exactly what happened. With the solarisation of all the deities, the Sun-deity was seen as the one behind them all…[Read more]

eliyah, isn't it possible that a certain word could have been mistranslated? that those were lawyers or something that were roaming about like lions?

i did a little research. http://www.truthradio.com/JasonName.htm“The word “God” comes from the “Common Teutonic word for a personal object of worship, formerly applicable to super-human being of heathen myth; on conversion of Teutonic races to Christianity, the term was applied to Supreme Being.” Encyclopedia Americana 1945. i read more closely the original post, and i see you wrote “blasphemy” and “idol worship.” for these 2, i believe they should be killed. but we must go by scripture. jesus did not command his apostles to take the sword up and slash and kill the pagans, the gentiles that were about. roman soldiers, the woman who asked for help saying that at least…[Read more]
