Joseph Smith had the right idea that a book dropped from heaven upon golden tablets should be reliable. I’m not saying the book of Mormon is that but I do give the man credit for all his work and he has built a great big Christian church.

And if God had to use heretics to approve of his  varied man made book-the bible, then why is not the heretic…[Read more]

This just shows that men of different opinions about God wrote the books of the bible and men that we call heretics were the ones that approved which books would be in it. Could not God have provided a better example than that and just magically dropped it from heaven written on an asteroid or something?

Oh I think there are actually over 40.000 and I suppose you may be the only one who likes or knows the true Christ. How blessed are you!

    Kerwin,

So is the “one”gospel godly love or over 40,000 reasons to condemn each other?

  • Profile picture of AndrewAD

    Hi Nick,

It all depends on how one thinks. But so many want to pretend to be infallible popes-oh mercy! Just throw away the so called virtue of honesty and all can be well with your soul.

    Dear Kerwin,

You’ve hit the nail on the head that the Spirit is godly love and for me is God. All the religious wrangling about doctrine is non-essential.I’ve come to realize there’s a good reason why there are 40,000 different denominations.

So just who is “our” God? according to you? is it the”God of Moses”who doesn’t see grace and truth in Jesus Christ?

    Dear Nick,

Of course God has a son and is his own son.For God being so far above us has to communicate in terms we humans can somewhat understand.God brought himself down to our understanding in the form of prophets trying to communicate though it didn’t work so well, which is why the Jews were rejected for their failures. He came as a physical…[Read more]

    Hello Nick,

Yes I speak of the flesh man called Jesus of Nazareth who appeared for a short time but was and is eternal in the heavens.

    Dear Nick,

God has no better priest than himself-his logos. The earthly priests failed and God grew tired of them and their vain sacrifices. Thus his own eternal logos became a priest in the form of a Son-that is a Christ priest. He did this for you and I so rejoice not only in the offering that saves but in the Priest who saves.

The abomination of desolation was verily fulfilled as Christ said in the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in AD 70.It applies to us no more>PERIOD!!! For all  the scriptures were fulfilled according to St.Luke 21:22-The days of vengeance that ALL things which are written may be fulfilled. It is finished!

God chose his own words-“the logos” to become flesh and dwell for a short time upon earth and be a vicarious sacrifice for himself and mankind. He chose his own spirit being to become flesh and called it his son. Thus it is him and the being called Jesus Christ.

When God realized the failure of the Jews( I speak as a man) he must needs offer himself a sacrifice to save gentiles for thus he speaks through St Paul -Rom 8:32 He did not spare his own son but offered him up for us all.Yes God gave himself a sacrifice to please himself and save humanity-such is grace and Rom 8:32-33 and with this sacrificial…[Read more]

But Dear Kerwin,I do understand what you say in regard to Jesus saying “why do you call me good? there is none good but God” that is a problem verse for many Christians and of course there are many explanations/apologies for that. The Jesus of St John would never say such a thing nor would Pauls’ risen Christ which are the Christs we worship.

Kerwin, yes I know “total depravity” doesn’t mean we are as evil as we can be or the image of God is obliterated in us.It does mean we can’t approach God or Jesus and be saved unless we are chosen/predestined.It’s not our choosing or freewill but Gods’-“no man can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him” and so many others. Total…[Read more]

    Dear Kerwin,

“Some teach that humanity bears the guilt of Adam’s sin which is absurd.’ you clearly don’t believe in total depravity with such a statement as this so maybe you should research where the term”total depravity” came from and what it means according to reformed theology.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God-thus all will sin by default with the Spirit or not. John the Baptist was filled with the Spirit from his mothers womb according to Luke so maybe he was the real sinless one.

    Dear Kerwin,

As a former Calvinist myself I understand what you call “total depravity” and it’s no wonder to me that you are such a legalist if you accept all that. But if Jesus had a sinful nature then he must’ve been totally depraved like us right? If he had a totally depraved nature that makes him a sinner like us by default. And do you really…[Read more]
