And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.And I John saw the holy city, newJerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.Hebrews 118 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

(Praying for you and your family)
1 Thes 4:
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Love in Christ,

I do, however, believe that the Jews who do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, will rebuild the temple, and begin offering animal sacrifices again.
Ezekiel 43:
10 Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.
11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.
12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.
I posted this because of the discussion that you and T8 were having regarding the 144,000.

He calls us his brothers, and he also has said that the he who overcomes will sit with him on his throne as he has overcome and sits on His Father’s throne.
Revelation 1:
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Really? Please explain why not?
January 2, 2017 at 2:43 pm#818400942767ParticipantHi Pierre:
I have given you my understanding of the scriptures. He is the “express image of God’s person”, and we who are born again Christians, are becoming like him as we learn to apply God’s Word in our daily life, and so, yes, the scriptures state that we will be like him when he comes for the church.

January 2, 2017 at 9:56 am#818395942767Participantplease explain those verses of Paul;
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
(What do you want me to explain to you about these verses? You stated that because of Adam we could not escape the circle of death, but both Enoch and Elijah did.)
January 2, 2017 at 9:52 am#818394942767ParticipantHi Pierre:
you haven’t addressed my answer to your claims ;you totally ignore the tree of life that would make it possible to live for ever
I know about the tree of life and that Adam and Eve could have eaten of it and lived forever both before the fall and after the fall, but God cast them out of the Garden of Eden, but they did not eat of the tree of life.
God had seen all of this from the beginning, and so, what is the issue that you want to hold to here. He made every thing by Jesus Christ, and knowing that “he was the way, the truth and the life”.
you also did not addressed the fact that man through Adam are all born in sin
I did address this. Man was not born in sin through Adam. By one man, Adam sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and death passed upon all men in that “all men have sinned”.
don’t get me wrong I do understand your view ,and i understand that each time it talks about Jesus coming down or going up were he was before you have to give your interpretation to those verses a thing that i do not do ,
Maybe you don’t give an interpretation because you don’t understand what is being stated? All I can do is give you my understanding of the scriptures, and so, that is what I have done, and you say that you understand my view. Good, I am glad that you understand.
so was Jesus the son of God that was used to speak on behalf of his father or was it the words spoken by Jesus that was in heaven and the words that were spoken by the prophets of old and those words came down to the prophets to be written or spoken to the people ,(kind of spokesperson) ?
The scripture in Hebrews 1 states that God has spoken by the prophets and by His Son. In in John 14 Jesus makes it clear that “it was the Father doing the works through him”. The “spirit of the Son”, that is the Word of God that Jesus would speak and obey without sin unto death on the cross, were with God from the beginning.
In the following verse of scripture, Jesus states that “he is in the Father, and the Father is in him”, and so, how is he in the Father? It is by the Word of God that he obeyed without sin unto death on the cross. A person is defined by “the life that he lives”.
John 17:
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
(The name Emmanuel being interpreted “means God with us”. The name signifies his character that has been manifested through his life of obedience to God’s Word. He is not God himself, but “he is the express image of God’s person. He said in John 14 that when we have seen him(through the works that the Father was doing through him), we have seen the Father.)
January 1, 2017 at 12:30 pm#818384942767ParticipantHi Pierre:
I made a comment that it was clear that God did not intend for us to live in this body of flesh forever, and I made this comment because God has for-seen the end from the beginning.
Adam introduced sin into this world through his disobedience, but every man thereafter could have obeyed God, but did not. All men have sinned. What about about Enoch? He repented and walked with God, and he did not have to go through a physical death:
Genesis 5:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him
Or what about Elijah:
2 Kings 2:
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Love in Christ,
MartyJanuary 1, 2017 at 12:18 pm#818383942767ParticipantYes, he did claim to be the life, and he indicated that it was the words that God spoke to humanity through him was what gave life.
John 6:
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
When he speaks saying that he came down from heaven is he speaking of himself as the man Jesus? If so, as a man, he is body, soul and spirit.
And so, tell me how he came down from heaven?
John 17King James Version (KJV)
17 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

MartyDecember 27, 2016 at 4:14 pm#818358942767ParticipantNow if you are talking about the physical death that is common to all of us, it is clear that God never intended for us to live in this body forever. He states that in the creation He formed man out of the dust of the ground. I guess that it was possible for Adam to have eaten of the tree of life and lived forever in that body, but he didn’t and God has seen all from the beginning to the end.
Love in Christ,
MartyDecember 27, 2016 at 3:55 pm#818357942767ParticipantHebrews 1King James Version (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
(The scripture states that God spoke to “us” by his Son, are we “humanity” and if Jews “are they not humanity?”
All of humanity died spiritually because of their own sin. Adam is not responsible for my sin, and neither is the devil. I sinned, and it is true that the only way to get forgiveness is to come to God with a repentant heart through the Lord Jesus. If it is Adam’s fault, then why do I have to repent?
Love in Christ,
MartyDecember 27, 2016 at 11:00 am#818355942767ParticipantOk, Pierre, I said I would not respond, but one more time. The scriptures state:
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Now read what the scripture says: sin entered into the world by one man, (that man was Adam), and death passed upon all men (why?) because all men have sinned, not because Adam transmitted sin to them, every man born of the sperm of man was tempted at some point during their life and yielded to the temptation and sinned. The only human being that did not yield to temptation was Jesus, but he could have sinned, but he didn’t, and so as the scripture states “he overcame sin and death”, and it is through him that we also can overcome sin and death(spiritual separation from God), not a physical death.
Yes, Jesus said he down from heaven, and I believe that, and I understand how he came down from heaven by what the scriptures tell me. His body was conceived by the Holy Ghost in the womb of Mary and he was born of a woman just as all of humanity was born into this world. His Spirit was formed as He obeyed the Word of God without sin unto death. He is body, soul and spirit. That is how I understand that he came down from heaven.
Now, then if you see that he came down some other way that what I have stated, please show me how he came down from heaven.
And one other question. The scriptures state that God spoke in times past to the Fathers in many ways and by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to humanity through His Son. If in fact he pre-existed prior to his birth into this world, why did God not speak to humanity through him until these last days?
Hebrews 1King James Version (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
