Quote (Tiffany @ Dec. 08 2008,11:33) Hi Meerkat Jesus said, make disciples of all nations; he did not tell anyone to go look for the 10 tribes.
There was not, and there is not, a gathering of the elect. The gospel was to be preached into all the world for all to hear, and it was, and still is, up to the individual to respond to it.
Nothing in the Bible says, only the 10 tribes are called; many are called, from all nations, but few are chosen, why? Because most people stick to tradition, and don't answer the call.
Ask some one if they know what Jesus means when he says, in Revelation, come out of her my people.Georg
GeorgI have wondered about the 10 lost tribes and I have wondered about the gathering of the elect – I don't think we are to look for the 10 lost tribes because I think that they have been dispersed in all the nations and I don't think they are to be physically found – however I wonder if the gathering of the elect is the spiritual gathering of those that follow Jesus and are made disciples and keep the commandments over the 2000 years since 70AD to Jesus return.
I agree that the good news is to be preached in all the world and think that the disciples are those that respond.

The ten tribes are only important to God because he is going to unite all Israel into one nation again.
You been using the phrase, gathering of the elect, would you mind if I ask you were you read that?
Also, what do you mean by, spiritual gathering.Georg
