Hi WJ,
The Father is never separate from His Spirit and thus that Spirit is not another person. The Spirit is to God as a finger is to anyone,[lk11,mt12]God was with Jesus till he was filled with God's Holy Spirit and thence they are united and when Jesus died he came to live by that Spirit.
So was Jesus already a PART OF GOD [to quote tt] when he was anointed by God with His Spirit?

Quote What about Isaiah? It means the same thing and you know why? Because it is always God doing the saving. Sin was not put away under Isaiah.

How can you say sin has been put away? Can you sin right now?Can you sin everyday until you die? If you don't repent from evil Jesus will still accept you?

Jesus told us about washing our feet.
Walking in the filthy world causes such to cling to us so easily.
But first the man must be washed all over and beware returning to roll in the mud.July 10, 2009 at 11:08 pm#137058KangarooJackParticipantIt is the guilt of sin that has been put away. Sin itself canot be eradicted until we get to heaven. The gospel is about the guilt of sin being removed.

Nick,
Yes and this is what is meant by sin being taken away. Bodhitharta don't get it because he does not understand the gospel.thinker

So you suggest believe in Jesus wash away your guilt of sin and then sin without guilt, right?July 11, 2009 at 2:55 am#137096NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Your need for constant repentance and your burden of guilt would no longer oppress you if you knew the freedom and forgiveness found in JesusJuly 11, 2009 at 5:32 am#137106bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ July 11 2009,14:55) Hi BD,

Are you saying we don't need to constantly repent and strive to do what is right?July 11, 2009 at 6:05 am#137116NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
That is what freedom is.
Read 1Jn1.Not by might nor by power but by the Spirit.
Be still and know that I am God.Self abasement and false humiity do not impress our God.
The sin that relates to salvation is defined in Jn 3 and Jn 16.
