JERUSALEM.
Isaiah 29:1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
Isaiah 29:2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me AS Ariel.
Isaiah 29:3 And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay SIEGE AGAINST thee with a mount, and I will raise FORTS against thee.
Isaiah 29:4 And thou shalt be BROUGHT DOWN, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall WHISPER out of the dust.
Isaiah 29:5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an INSTANT SUDDENLY.
Isaiah 29:6 Thou shalt be VISITEDof the LORD of hosts with THUNDER, and with EARTH QUAKE, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the FLAME of devouring FIRE.
Isaiah 29:7 And the multitude of ALL THE NATIONS that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be AS A DREAM of a night vision.
Isaiah 29:8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his SOUL IS EMPTY: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the MULTITUDE of ALL THE NATIONS be, that fight AGAINST mount Zion.
Isaiah 29:9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: THEY ARE DRUNKEN, BUT NOT WITH WINE; they stagger, but NOT WITH STRONG DRINK.
Isaiah 29:10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the SPIRIT OF DEEP SLEEP, and hath CLOSED YOUR EYES: the PROPHETS AND YOUR RULERS, the seers hath he covered.
Isaiah 29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is SEALED, which men deliver to one that is LEARNED, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; FOR IT IS SEALED:

Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me WITH THEIR MOUTH, and with their LIPS do honour me, but have REMOVED THEIR HEART FAR FROM ME, and their fear toward me is TAUGHT BY the PRECEPT of MEN:
Isaiah 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the WISDOM of their WISE MEN shall perish, and the UNDERSTANDING of their PRUDENT MEN shall be hid.
Isaiah 29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are IN THE DARK, and they say, WHO SEETH US? and who knoweth us?
Isaiah 29:16 Surely your turning of things UPSIDE DOWN shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the WORK SAY of HIM THAT MADE IT, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, HE HAD NO UNDERSTANDING?
Isaiah 29:17 Is it not yet a very little while, and LEBANON SHALL BE TURENED INTO A FRUITFUL FIELD, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? (why lebanon??).
Isaiah 29:18 And IN THAT DAY shall the DEAF HEAR the words of the book, and the eyes of THE BLIND shall see out of obscurity, and OUT OF DARKNESS.
Isaiah 29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men SHALL REJOICE in the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 29:20 For the TERRIBLE ONE is BROUGHT TO NOUGHT, and the SCORNER IS CONSUMED, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
Isaiah 29:21 That make a man an offender for a word, and LAY A SNARE FO HIM that REPROVED IN THE GATE, and TURN ASIDE THE JUST FOR A THING of NOUGHT.
Isaiah 29:22 Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall NOT now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

In other words, Jerusalem was noted for its altar fires and sacrifices; during Sennacherib’s siege, fire and bloodshed of a different sort will characterize it!

Obvious, this is refering to JERUSALMEM. Ariel = Jerusalem. Let them continue year to year UNTIL the Lord visits them. We know there comes a day when Christ comes to judge the nations. He will start with them (2nd coming)

I know this is referring to the last days, as Jerusalem in the past was not destroyed by an earthquake, but destroyed by kings. The last earthquake recorded there in scripture was after the crucifixion of Christ when the temple was split in two.. however, Jerusalem was not entirely destroyed by that earthquake, as they were DESTROYED BY THE ROMANS in 70 AD. (not an earthquake),
Now this leads to more clarificaton. It is obvious this scripture links with Rev. There appears to be two separate earthquakes. One before the 7 trumpets start blowing, and one at the end.
EARTHQUAKE JUST BEFORE THE 1ST TRUMPET IS BLOWN
Revelation 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the EARTH: and there were voices, and THUNDERINGS, and LIGHTNINGS, and an EARTHQUAKE.
Revelation 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven angels PREPARED THEMSELVES TO SOUNDFrom what I understand, this earthquake, blown just before the 7th trump is referring to Jerusalem only? As the great earthquake to follow will destroy ALL the city's of the nations, and also split Jerusalem into three at Christ's coming…..Now I always thought this last earthquake will occur at the 7th trump, but the following verse indicates that it occurs at the 6th trumpet? Am I missing something?

The first tumpet before it sounds,was an earth quake in israel.The first WOE is the fift trumpet.The bott.pit opened.
The second WOE is the sixth trumpet.This is the war,king of the north against king of the south.(not armageddon).
Still the second woe going on.
The second woe also is the 2witnesses killed and then an earth quake in israel 7000 died.NOW THE THIRD WOE.
The seventh trumpet,is the appearing of Christ
and a very great earth quake. This is the battle of armageddon.Babylon no more.3 earth quakes from the first trumpet to the seventh trumpet.

Why dont you provide scriptures to us that prove Jerusalem will NOT be attacked again right before Christs 2nd coming and we will provide scriptures that prove it WILL.

If we truly have the testimony of Jesus, then this book will be opened up to us also, and we will be given the Spirit of Prophecy, which is the understanding of prophesies. Not many have this, I would say that in these last days there would only be 144,000 that would have this.The seven seals, when opened, reveal end times leading up to the 2nd coming. Within these 7 seals, contain details of the visions that Daniel saw. They are now revealed. Now that we are nearing the end, many will run to and fro and knowledge will be increased. They did not have all the technology we have today. Information is readily available to us at our fingertips. We can communicate with each other instantly now and find out all things, ….but for them, the future was hazy. Daniel was under the Babylon & Medo Empire,…John was under the Roman Empire. We have come a long way since then. We can look back now, and discern the fulfillment of prophecies, and future ones to come. We can see more clearly. We can also see God's plan being played out right before our very eyes. The book of Revelation, and the book of Daniel go hand in hand together, and Daniel also declares that something is going to happen in Jerusalem 3 1/2 years at the time of the end.
