You have been warned by a staff member.  Your warning level has been increased, and this will be viewable to all members.  Once you have reached the maximum warning level, your posting permissions will be revoked.
You have been warned from the following post: https://heavennet.net/cgi-bin….y180939

Your post is potentially offensive calling others pharisees and arrogant

What an evil warning.  Read scripture.  John the Baptist refers to those who come to him as a brood of vipers and Jesus himself uses the same term.  In criticizing me for doing as they do you choose to criticize them.

If you find my accusation false then please point out why it is false instead of embracing such a foolish position as you have chosen.

I have little patience for what appears to be arrogance and see no reason to deal with Pharisees who enjoy their own righteousness and thus refuse to pursue God’s.

Are we so politically correct that we cannot give an opinion as it might be “offensive”!

whether I agree or not, I thought he was tackful, the use of “appears” says to me that he was saying an action, not the person was arrogant.

I personally find christianity offensive but I do not agree with giving people little off-white squares for believing it.

    I agree.

This tile handing out thing has got a bit out of hand, if you ask me!!! Seems like everyone should have one at this rate.

    Goodness…..

t8, if you're having Nick hand these warnings out that is not a very unbias way of dealing with things. He is way too involved personally (and should perhaps also have been given warnings) to be the one handing them out. But whatever, it's your site.

The “tiles” are becoming a bit of a joke though, truly……
In fact, pretty soon I'm going to feel left out that I don't have one!!

This is not aimed at anyone specifically so don't read it that way.
I personally think there should be far more tiles given here than there are. I think that many things said here are not from the spirit of God but from an uncontrolled bitter spirit of man and not at all a display of humility which we are to be going towards. I think that giving tiles are a great idea and I encourage more of them. The derogatory adjectives and comments here towards others are a poor display of character IMO. Too many people get away with nasty comments towards others. Just because Jesus calls a group a Brood of Vipers should we assume that it is ok for us, Jesus was without sin, remember? Jesus said “He who is without sin, cast the first stone.” Jesus can cast the stones…not us. There are loving and tactful ways to say things that are far more effective than insulting. So many posts are insults being returned for insults…not too impressive or mature. A poor way to “press on” and be a light in the darkness. If I have been offensive then I want a tile so that I will not continue. Don't we want to welcome the discipline of God in our lives to shape our character to the character of Christ.

So, I say…hooray for the mods on here. Thank you for your patience and may God direct you towards appropriate and effective tile placement. I think they work and I think we are still very immature Christians in general here. There is plenty of talking big with very little effectiveness. We will have to answer for our words and thoughts and unforgiveness, we should be mindful of that.

    Hoping to love more,
    Kathi

Jesus is not the only one that “cast stones” in scripture.  John the Baptist called some a “brood of vipers” and Paul referred to others as “false brothers”.   These men of God may have made personal attacks but the attacks were true and were designed to warn people away from their evil actions thus building them up instead of tearing them down.

It is tough being a moderator and so put into a position to judge what personal attacks are defamatory and which are not.  Still punishing someone for doing right because you have trouble telling the difference is not really acceptable which I believe is why the U.S. Courts have the idea of assumed to be innocent unless proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt,

Jesus also tells us he did not come to bring peace but a sword.  He also tells us his message will care even families to be divided against one another.  Sadly, These things must come before the end and avoiding them does not serve God's purpose.

If one shares the site with someone, like I do, I did not like the tile. Since I do not get personal, for me it was not fair. But I got used to it now. Georg however deserved a tile. So for awhile my Husband did not post. For the first time today He did.

    Kerwin,
Can we warn without insults…isn't there a better way? I do not see insults as being very effective personally. We can give the message in love and it may cause division and there is nothing we can do about that but I do think that we shouldn't give the message laced with insults even if they seem true TO US. It is carnal to want to reveal our own mind…is God telling us to use the name calling in our posts or is it our carnal nature?

    Sis,

I admire you; however, you are looking at things through a perfect world ideal. Human nature is human nature.

I remember Paul (a member here) saying that one of the reasons this site gets so many hits is in part because of the drama it stimulates. I tend to agree.

We do not as of yet have what we desire (love for all and respect), but this we do……press on! :;):

Keep up the excellent work, Kathi.

This was my point exactly – WHO deserves a tile? And WHO decides? It all seems a bit pointless to me, I'm sorry.

If Nick is the Moderator, as I have been told in the past, then I would certainly like to know who is HIS moderator? :;): He is the spoon that stirs the pot so much of the time. It's silly.

    Mandy,
I totally know what you are saying but do we aim for the best way or do we aim for status quo and appear no different than secular boards? What good is getting a lot of visitors only to demonstrate our immaturity and nastiness towards another with the occassional encouragement of those who differ from us? We need to raise our standards here. IMO I am in favor of private warnings before tiles are given expecially when the person did not initiate the insults as it appears in Kerwin's case. I also agree that sometimes a moderator could even benefit from some authoritative accountability. I do appreciate the time given by them though.

BTW, I know you are facing a heavy duty week and my prayers are with you.

    Love, Kathi

    Hi,
Th owner of the site is T8 but he is not here often. We know each other and chat from time to time.
Consistency is the aim for fairness as far as tiles go but I think they should be removed if not added to within a certain time period.

    Thanks so much, Kathi.

I also agree with your sensibility on the issue of the tiles. I guess I've just been around so long (or posted so much in the line of fire) that I'm numb to a lot of the abuse that comes and goes.

Here is something to ponder – I have witnessed some pretty sweet “Jesus” moments between bretheren here when they have been nasty to one another. There have been apologies and forgiveness. It's a beautiful thing to witness when the fruit comes out. So we do learn (hopefully) from our mistakes. And yes, we continue to press forward.

I appreciate you, Kathi. I'm so glad that you are here, and I always look for your posts.

Thank you for the prayers as well – I have been very nervous, but thanks to some dear ladies in my life (and one very understanding husband), I am no longer a nervous-wreck! :;):

    Much love,
    Mandy

My surgery is set for Tuesday morning, and my sister arrives tomorrow…..I doubt I will be posting for a few weeks…….

Thank you for all the prayers! I really do love you guys, you all have become a wonderful virtual family to me. One that I have looked to for support, understanding, and direction (sometimes even correction). :;):

I agree regarding the mods. A thankless task it must be to maintain a site like this in the face of the many problems posed by the way unknown people use and abuse the internet.

I also agree about strongly dissuading people from issuing personal abuse to one another.

However under your system of punishing everything ungodly, I think I would last four more posts before being terminated for having five increasingly yellow little squares.

I am sure you would not mean that to happen to such a frequent and valued contributor to Heavennet as myself!

    Hi NH

I agree totally with your statement.

Some that were here before may have grown and learned a lesson and could contribute to the board now IMO.

BTW none of them are Trinitarians that I know of! :)

Not to say that we do not have our moments too!
