If you are in Christ you are in a war zone. But our battle is not against flesh and blood but a princedom of darkness.
You need to become equipped with the armour available including that of defence and attack.

To recognise and oppose the work of the enemy you need the gift of discernment so that you can deal with satan as Jesus did with Peter and many others.
Satan is a generic term of course. Resist satan and he will flee from you because you will be able to crush him under your feet.
