2 samual 24 ,the LORD ,1CHRONICLES 21 satan,according to this the jews who wrote this diddent know the diferance between THE LORD and satan,hmmm, YET THEY NEW SATANS NAME.
me dident mean to say god is the LORD of nothing for he is the LORD of all and everything,please forgive me father,for you are all in all thru all. me no more than a grain of sand,yet me will praise your holy name.
will none anser ,hmmm,god said to rightly divide the truth from the error ,seek god he will show you all truth,for he said he will be your teacher not men,so repent and stop seeking men,but seek god with all your heart,he will lead you into all truth.
lets put this a diferent way, men say the whole bible is the word of god ,this tradition is very well taught,for me believed the bible to be the word of god,yet god is not a liar ,he cant be both satan and LORD. men put this book together to suite there own purposees rather than GOD'S will.if we say GOD inspired the words than we are calling him a liar,and he is not a liar,for there is no shadow of turning in him.the bible is full of many truths ,yet many doctrines of men,only GOD can lead you to the truth within ,dont follow men for most of the whole world is decieved by the anti christ and following him rite to hell.
I agree with you michaels. I have maintained that the bible contains many of the truths of God, but I don't believe that everything in the bible is the inspired word of God.
As I have been told before on this forum, “then how do you know which part to believe, and which part to not believe.”
The general feeling was that you must believe every word of the bible or believe none of it at all.I think you are correct. A person needs God to help rightly divide the words of the bible.
If the bible were the inspired word of God, there would be absolutely no mistakes in it. God would not allow it. And as you said,

In 2 Sam it is YAHWEH who is demanded the numbering and in 1 Chron it is the adversary that is demanding it.
Satan is the god of this world, but he is not YAHWEH. And the word YAHWEH was used in 2 Sam.Tim

The truth is that men make mistakes. Those who recorded the events as they were related to them and also those who have translated what was said in the Word of God in the original languages.
But God is alive and knows what he said or knows the events that are being described and so we can ask him for understanding.
It appears in 2 Samuel 24 that because God was angry with Israel (Why He was angry with them, I don't know.), Satan (1 Chron. 21) tempted David to number Israel and sin against God. God allowed David to be tempted to do this, but David learned through the punishment that God gave him that He(God) is more merciful than men would be.
