Hi MB,
Will they dwell in heaven?
Is it written?
Yes Nick,This is why the dead will be raised in spiritual bodies. This is why Paul yearned for his lowly, earthly body to be transformed into a new, glorious body like the one Jesus now has in heaven. It is because the citizenship of the elect will be in heaven.
Do you think that none of the resurrected will dwell in heaven?
Hi MB,
As Gene says the meek shall inherit the earth.
No scripture says man has an abode in heaven.
But it is an extraordinarily popular worldly mythApril 15, 2012 at 8:03 pm#292531mikeboll64BlockedWhere do you suppose Enoch is right now? How about Elijah?
Who are the souls under the alter in Revelation? Why will the dead be raised in spiritual, non-flesh bodies? Why does Paul say his citizenship will be in heaven?
This is a good discussion topic, so I will look for or start a thread on it.

We are already seated in the heavenlies with Jesus Christ spiritually.[col3.1]
Jesus went there and I am sure we will be welcomed there too.
But scripture does not ever say men live there
Earth is the inheritance of men.April 15, 2012 at 11:05 pm#292579terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ April 16 2012,14:40) Hi MB,

NPaul says that the number as to complete for they all at once will be resurrected and those on earth would be changed in an instant, so only there souls are close to God ,but in wait for the time and number

King James Bible
Lk 322

John was told to expect this
Jn 1.32
31″I did not recognize Him, but so that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing in water.” 32John testified saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. 33″I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.'…March 11, 2014 at 4:09 am#372979NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
You say
“Both Saul and David were already anointed by God when the Holy Spirit came upon them.”

Jesus a Prophesied Man came into his EXISTENCE at His Berth on this EARTH, and GOD was with Him and AT the AGE of around Thirty He recieve the Anointing of GOD at the Jordan River and was first tried and tested in the wilderness and then sent out into the World to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of GOD. Nothing complicated about it . It is only when you start a preexistence “mindset” does these things lose their proper order get Complicated and confused. We all need your sound understanding add to our , in this great struggle of the truth of God which has been corrupted by the false teachers of the synagogues of Satan. Who preach a different Christ then scripture clearly shows. These Trinitarians and Preexistences who have turned the “MAN” Jesus into a God, abound everywhere throughout all so called “CHRISTIANITY” and here also.
Peace and love to you and yours Adam……………………………..gene

Hi MB,
What we think is irrelevant.
Jesus has shown that men in the new bodies can go to heaven. But no scriptures say men will dwell there
The meek shall inherit the earth and God will dwell with them.

Jesus of Nazareth, the carpenter, was filled with the Spirit at the Jordan.[lk4.1]
nickit does not say that ; read that verse
Lk 4:1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert,
it does not say he was filled at the Jordan it says “FULL” OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ;YOU ARE MAKING CHANGES TO SCRIPTURES
Lk 1:28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Lk 1:29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
Lk 1:30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.
Lk 1:31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
Lk 1:32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
Lk 1:33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”
Lk 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
Lk 1:35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.LOOK AT THE END OF VERSE 35 IT SAYS “THE HOLY ONE TO BE BORN”

Nick,2 Corinthians 5
1 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.2 Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling……..
These words tell me that some will be given a heavenly tent, and dwell in heaven.
Phil 3:20
But our citizenship is in heaven. This tells me the same.
Perhaps you and I understand these teachings differently?
May 22, 2014 at 11:21 pm#383586NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
What tent are you living in now?We are already seated in heavenly places with Jesus if we are in him[col3.1]
May 22, 2014 at 11:21 pm#383589mikeboll64BlockedNick and All,
The scriptures Kerwin listed in the OP of this thread really say all we need to know on this subject.
If Jesus was “born the Christ”, then he was “born the ANOINTED”. That means: BEFORE the Jordan.
The following describes an event when Jesus was only 8 days old:
Luke 2
26 It had been revealed to [Simeon] by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.28 Simeon took [Jesus] in his arms and praised God, saying:
29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you may now dismiss your servant in peace.”God kept His promise, and let Simeon see His Messiah (ANOINTED one) before he died.
Jesus was already God's “Son” and “Anointed One” before he was made in the likeness of a human being – which would be WAY before the Jordan.
