Quote (Wakeup @ June 11 2014,01:13) He is worthy to be worshipped as God.Every knee shall bow before Him.(this glory given by His father).
Wakeup………Every knees shall bow to Jesus Christ To the 'GLORY OF THE FATHER” Not to the GLORY of JESUS as you falsly ASSUME. IMOpeace and love to you and yours………………………..gene

That is not what James states. He states that every good and perfect gift comes down from above. You already know that God is above and that he gives gifts that are good and perfect.
The devil is the ruler of this world and his gifts come from below.
Jesus Christ is a good and perfect gift but though he is the biggest one he is not the only good and perfect gift.

Give an example of someone/something else then. For example, was John the Baptist perfect?
Was Moses? How about Abraham?
It seems you've boxed yourself in here, Kerwin. If the gifts that come DOWN from heaven are PERFECT, then that prohibits any HUMAN BEING from “coming DOWN from heaven” – except for Jesus, right?

I said this to Wakeup.
Quote To answer your questions Christians come from above even more that the prophets for the prophets only looked forward to being conceived of the Holy Spirit. They only spoke as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit and were merely credited with righteousness. The prophets were good and perfect gifts that came down from above.
Christians are good and perfect gifts that Have Been Coming Down From Above.
Jesus is THE GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT that Has Come Down From Above. The bottom line is Jesus is superior to all the rest and even the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John and those that came before him.

The apostles were just simple fisherman. They had no connections with heaven before,
Jesus chose them. They were chosen, and given the HS. from above.wakeup.

Of course Jesus did not come from heaven. He came by conception in his mother’s womb.
The Spirit in him came from heaven. The flesh contributes nothing
August 21, 2014 at 3:42 pm#735946ProclaimerParticipantThat is true Nick. It does raise the question about our spirit though.

if he came from Mary then we are all doomed for no men can save another ,that it ;the promise the faith ,the resurrection ,the son of God all those thing s are now gone ;for nick that is
not for the scriptures ;if we believe the scriptures we are save in believing that Christ came from heaven that his father send him down to come and save us from our sins for he was without sin ;he came through a women but not from the seed of the women ;but just as he was not of the seed of Joseph the carpenter ,Mary was a surrogate mother to Jesus, for the son of God was born through the powers of God ,to fulfill the truth of the prophets that ad spoken through the holy spirit long ago ,

if the flesh does not contribute NOTHING then we would be unable to do the works and deeds that he ask us to do ;
i do not think that what nick says is accurate to scriptures ,the flesh is our vehicle to let the spirit in us show what is in the heart and soul
good or bad
August 22, 2014 at 2:51 pm#736545NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
The spirit of man came from God and goes back to God.[ecc 12]
It was of God and is not evil.the heart of man is desperately wicked
August 22, 2014 at 2:52 pm#736546NickHassanParticipantHi T,
Jesus said his Father did the works.
He could do nothing. But you disagree?
